Our trek begins at the entrance of Athirappilly Waterfalls, leading to the Athirappilly camp shed, where a bamboo raft awaits to ferry us across the Chalakkudy River. Upon reaching the camp shed, gear up with water bottles and snacks before embarking on the 4.5km trek to Valiya Nadukani Mala. With a total trek distance of around 10km, starting at 7:30 AM and concluding by 1 PM with a sumptuous lunch included in the package priced at Rs 1500 per head, Athirappilly trekking promises an unforgettable adventure. Group size ranges from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 12 people, with wildlife sightings being a matter of luck. Be part of the pioneer batch of this exciting Athirappilly trekking experience!

Nice. .That they have a jeep safari.. Its a lot safer for one..And yeah the elephant charges are big fun too ( and a lot safer on a vehicle ).. Been charged so many times by elephants in so many Indian Tiger Reserves that it's become something you kind of take for granted now that it is likely to happen. Some have been pretty close too.. Once we had to reverse out in Corbett and he almost got his trunk on the bonnet before we managed to pull away ... :)

Trekking and Safari are separate programs and you have to book it separately - i had not enough content from the trekking for a full video so just clubbed it with jeep safari for the video
