I like how some people see pop music as the "enemy". People are still going to make it regardless, just like rock/metal bands continue to do so today. It really does not matter who gets to number 1 in the mainstream charts, it won't affect my life, detrimentally or otherwise. I'd rather just focus on enjoying the music that Halestorm and various other artists provide. Music is a wonderful thing, it caters for everyone's taste.

I just discovered them. To like Halestorm is to LOVE that voice of hers. Oh man that voice.... And I'm more critical of new music than I'd like to be, but it's the product of reaching the point in life where almost nothing new in rock music impresses me, or catches my imagination. I saw Guns n Roses OPEN for Aerosmith. I've been to some legendary shows, followed legendary artists around the country. But you have to stick with it and support anybody talented enough and dedicated enough to the craft. You can't just pack up and shut everything out. And it's a great feeling when you do find a new band that rocks you enough to dig deeper. Lzzy's covers are what brought me here. I have to be honest and say that most of what I've heard so far isn't rocking me nearly as much as their covers. But this one rocks. And that's a great thing. And it's really only the 4th original I've listened to so far. They have my attention.

I'm 55 and I tell you this band is the best ROCK music I heard in years. Hell, it's the best MUSIC period I've heard in years. The crap that is being played on the radio today makes me want to vomit. Lzzy Hale is an amazing singer. Not since Ann Wilson have I heard a more soulful, talented, passionate singer in the rock music genre. She has ability's in her voice to make you weep.

If you are really looking for an enemy try & change the worlds reduced mental view; idd some music is...for a "special" kind of people, but everybody has to survive somehow...eliminate that^ special kind of people & the music created for them by them will all be a memory. They are great in concert and she's really nice. They did a smallish concert in Mobile Alabama last year, called Bayfest, and one of the girls on my roller derby team got to meet and talk to her, her husband's band shared their trailer.. she has a love of knee socks... in fact, she did a video with roller derby, "It's not You"

Am liking this band more and more with every song of theirs I hear. Lizzy has a real dynamic range to her voice - right up there with Amy Lee from Evanescense. Her singing also reminds me of some of the 80's Rock Queens like Joan Jett & Lita Ford and the groups like Heart & Vixen.
