I do hope that this is better than _The Cell_ though. _Atlas_ reminds me of _Gravity_ a little, and to be honest, I always wished that Jennifer had gotten that movie instead of Sandra Bullock. In fact, with how tough and "hard" Jennifer's Hollywood persona has always been, I am surprised she has never starred in a major, big-studio action film. I could have seen her in roles similar to Ripley, The Bride, Sarah Connor, and Mrs. Smith. Heck, I cannot believe she still has not played any role in a superhero movie from Marvel or DC. I think she would be PERFECT to play Renee Montoya (the role Rosie Perez played in _Birds of Prey_ ) in James Gunn's upcoming revamp of the DC Comics cinematic universe.

@@sagelovescoffee Not many people know that she auditioned for Evita in 1997 and The Gladiator in 2000 (both times she was refused), however there were certain ambitious roles that were offered to her like in The Star Is Born, Unfaithul, Green Mile and Jerry McGuire- she refused all of them for different reasons, mostly due to schedule conflict. She was also one of producers' early ideas for Lara Croft alongside Sandra Bullock for 2001's Tomb Raider. Reese Whiterspoon also wanted Jennifer Lopez to join the cast of internationally acclaimed Big Little Lies tv series in the third season, but it hasn't materialised yet.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for the upcoming _Kiss of the Spider Woman_ movie adaptation (of the Broadway musical that was in itself an adaptation of a non-musical movie that was an adaptation of a novel). If you are familiar with Kander & Ebb's Kiss of the Spider Woman, you already know that Jennifer is PERFECT for the role that she will play in the film: Aurora (a role for which the late Chita Rivera won a Tony in 1994). This is absolutely perfect casting since the role requires a lot of dancing (and Jlo can certainly dance) and a seductively charismatic, larger-than-life star, which Lopes indeed is. Maybe this will be the role that gets Jenni her first Oscar nomination.
