I'm over here drooling on a piece of paper. I just remind myself that, even though it feels like I'm literally a ficsit employee now, I'm still only sitting at 150 hours played (between two saves) and these people have many, many more hours invested. Just keep plugging away, Rome wasn't built in a day. I take decoration breaks to mess around and give my mind a break from logistics and building, I find it helps immensely in many ways - namely you get better at architecture, new ideas just appear and it helps with burnout.

I am just amazed by the visualization that must going on in the brains of the creators. I feel like an uninspired rock, when I compare that not even to my factories, but to my ideas of buildings and options.
@meneermankepoot2 жыл бұрын
Building is just like doing anything else in a game, you use your knowledge about game mechanics to get your desired end result. Usually, actively thinking outside the box gives the best results because they will be unique to you. As a builder myself (mostly in minecraft but it does transfer over to other games), to me its mostly trial and error. I visualise my main idea, like whereabouts i want my walls and how big id like them, but not the detail. I do it like this: - Have an idea, like where to build and what style. Maybe even a reference pic, tends to help a ton. - See how much space you have, and whether that is enough for whatever you want inside. - Make multiple sub ideas, like floor / wall / roof and walkway etc designs, based on the space you have ofc. Yes, i know this is usually where it goes wrong. I started out with just recreating a house i liked with a step by step tutorial, and then took a detailed look at why i liked it so much. For example multiple layers of wall, or how high the ceiling was, materials used, etc etc. - Merge the sections together in some way, and youll be pretty much set. Maybe just some polishing left to do. (Or literally redoing your whole wall design because you end up thinking of something better lol) Its a grind, itll get repetitive and annoying, but if you keep trying new ideas youll get somewhere eventually :)

So yeah, this player officially won Satisfactory. I'd welcome anyone to suggest someone else won, but frankly I doubt it's possible to outdo this. Not even getting into everything else, the way he frames the environment in his build alone is absolutely masterful.

I love that you can do stuff like this in the game... or you can do what I do and just drop anything pretty much anywhere, power cables running through solid objects, conveyor belts clipping through each other, machines randomly scattered about the place... the game accommodates both styles. It's great.

Your voice really sounds like (Signsof)Kelani... Love your videos! My current save is a total mess and I am really thinking of starting fresh with a much cleaner setup this time around. I am just into phase 4, but I totally lost the overview of what I need and what I don't need and my HQ is way too chaotic to start new production lines from there.

Stin Achi is amazing. His channel is really good too, he has many videos where he not only features his builds, but also explains his process. Some of his builds involved using Micro Manage to set up the main stucture at angles or positions that are otherwise impossible. Everything featured today is 100% vanilla. That said, Stin Achi is the absolute best at using all the assets that U5 added. Structures like The Shard or the drill-probe-tripod-thing are the sort of works of art that you shouldn't compare to your own factories. You can completely lose yourself in that rabbithole.
@johnberwyn232 жыл бұрын
@@TotalXclipse Ah okay. I've seen you use Micromanage in your videos but didn't appreciate that it could be that powerful a tool, not tried any mods yet as I'm waiting until I'm comfortable with building in pure vanilla. I'm working my way through your last playthrough list and am picking up loads of useful tips, keep up the good work and cheers for your response.

Shame nobody does base tours of average or even above average factories to see how bad they are. Most bases are meh because of playing for leisure while some play as part of their job and can dedicate way more time than most people can

Very unfamiliar with the game and this series, but wouldn't the first factory being still highly functional for production be a good thing? He made it sound like a downside so I'm confused 🤔
