Atomic Bear Rebel Tactical Pen Review

I own one of these pens. I have broken glass with it a few times. The pen moves effortlessly through the glass. Hold it at the end with your thumb over the back and you won't bleed. Well, I didn't anyway. The pen took MINOR damage from the glass shards. Small divots into the aluminum. Nothing to diminish it's effectiveness in any way. After a few months of carrying in in my pocket with my knife and flashlight, the finish has begun to show ware. The gray finish has begun to expose the aluminum body underneath. As this is edc, I'm not particularly worried about this as most of my gear does show wear. It is a good looking pen and for the price, I would happily purchase it again.

@@ImpactDefense i like the SWAT because it fits better in my hand. Just have to watch the sharp tungsten carbide spike on the end.

It is not a weapon, it's a tool. Weapon is just intended for fighting and made for fighting only, while a tool can be used for fighting plus it has other functions or uses for daily use, emergency, survival. Example, kubaton/kubotan is a weapon while a tactical pen is a tool. You don't have other uses with kubaton aside from it as a striking implement, while tactical pens can be used for writing, breaking glass, etc.

I agree with you. Words matter, this video was made almost two years ago. To be honest I rarely refer to any self defense item as a weapon any more. They are force multiplier tools. A weapon is used for violence, a tool is used for defense.

Please verify the color, on Amazon it looks silver. I prefer black, or at least dark gray. Thanks for the review.

My son took it pulled the mesh tip thing out. Made him look for it until he found it, so I still have it, but idk how to put it back in. Any suggestions?
