You don’t need a harness to use the steering wheel control. Just connect the steering wheel control cable/s or the 3.5mm jack and their respective cables to the stereo. Once connected you can go to the swc menu and configure various controls. If you can’t find the steering wheel control cables; connect the black cable of a multimeter to ground, set the multimeter to ohms, and find which wire shows no continuity when no buttons are not pressed and shows a reading when buttons are pressed. Connect all other wires first to make it easier to find the cables.

It depends, the method you described works with resistive type controls, but alot of cars now use Can-Bus type of controls and need an Can interface to work.

Recently I acquired a Atoto S8 Ultra for my 2010 F-150 truck. I can say it's a very easy unit to connect without making alterations. My F-150 looks as if it had an original stereo. I can see KZbin, Local TV and many Android applications. It also brings Apple Car Play, although I do not use it.

I ask a question that I have not found an answer to in several videos that I have seen on KZbin. Can I connect my android mobile to this screen without using the cable (Car Link)? I mean, can I connect my mobile using EasyConnection or something? I know this screen does NOT have Android Auto Wireless.

@bryco323 жыл бұрын
Having the same issue. Did you ever figure it out? Seems like its a issue with atoto's because I see folks on their amazon seller pages bringing it up in the questions. I've emailed atoto USA about it and they have never gotten back with me. Hate like hell to have to wire in a switch to the constant feed in the harness..

Mine comes with three harnesses. Two of them have ISO connectors, the only difference is switching the constant and ACC cables. With ISO (A), it turns off the moment I switch the car off from ACC and didn’t retain clock settings, having to reboot every time. Switching to ISO (B) it works with Fast Boot as per the video. It drains a small amount of battery, so be mindful of this feature. I haven’t had your problem tho. I understand some cars have hot ACC, so that might be the problem you have. ie your accessory is constant on. This will cause a similar issue with dash cams feeding off ACC.

I just bought the Atoto S8 but I am having problems with the volume, which even in Volume 1 is exaggeratedly high that it is even impossible to talk. I have a Hyundai Santa Fe which comes with a factory amplifier. Could my problem be here? Any suggestions that you can give to the technician who installed the multimedia center for me?
@jacksaran55392 жыл бұрын
I had the same issue with the radio being way too loud at the lowest volume setting. You need to change the volume in the OEM settings of the radio because it's on the maximum volume by default. Go to "Settings''> ''System'' and tap it four times then enter pin 3368 (this is on my unit so hopefully it's the same pin as yours). Scroll down and look for Volume Balance Settings and tap on it. You should be able to lower the volume under Radio. Hope you find this helpful.
