Parents who do family channels do treat the kids the way they wanted to be treated at a young age. I say this cuz they got an emotional deficit of sorts, not enough love or maybe bullied in school, and so they believe they are doing the right thing. I hate how many people say, "The past couple of days have been horrible for me." and "People harassed my family.". It is true those type of stuff is horrible, but I'm tired of whenever a KZbin gets into drama, the first thing they do is tell you how hard it was to receive backlash for something bad they did... I just feel like it's more genuine when they address the drama right away instead of trying to make you feel bad and then addressing the drama. It's manipulative behavior. BUT, her saying she's not going to include her child in her videos anymore is good. Usually with family channels, they claim their child really wants to keep making videos with them so that's why they continue making videos with them in it after family drama comes out.

I don't mind people saying "people harassed my family" because that shows what cancel culture is. Holding someone accountable is not the same as putting someone and their family in harm just because you want them to pay for something. She keeps mentioning how people were being mean to her and how she’s a little depressed lately and how she’s trying not to cry talking about it without saying “it”. it’s like fuck woman!! your child was bawling their eyes out in absolute dread about a possible death of a puppy and you did not hesitate to move on and show off their most sensitive moment and chant stupid shit at them for the camera. You were forcing them to talk about the cute dog MORE instead of helping them process it. You were literally making them have to force their feelings down and repeat you as if it puts a fast bandaid on that swirling emotion. Then you pretend to pose like YOU WERE ABSOLUTELY DISTRUAt in that car with them like you were just so crushed to tell them that issue and you’re so sorry. They’re still bawling their eyes out and uncomfortable and just trying to behave with a super demanding and harsh and loud exploitive adults direction. The child had no direction and was clearly just stuck. All that kid needed was a comforting parent to explain the situation better for them and to let them cry and just give them all your time to help recover. Instead of learning how to cope with something as scary and sad as death at this young of an age where they can barely talk with you is so so horrible and can fuck up their growth and mental state.

This woman is the one who’s traumatizing people. She further traumatized her kids when her kids learned their family dog could have parvo and might die. This woman should’ve been supportive for them. She should’ve comforted them, provided some love and space and time as they try to process that their dog might die from parvo. She should’ve just recorded the video alone, to provide them space to heal. My parents have never forced us to be involved in their platform posts. They would post stuff, without involving me and my siblings. They would only post things with *OUR* permission. That’s what this mom needs to be doing. Her kids might want a more private life, and she should be asking for their consent to involve them to let them feel respected. Obviously, most kids don’t want all that media attention that their parents get. They deserve privacy, respect, and consent. If they want to join the videos, let them join in. If they don’t want to, respectfully leave them out of it.

My feeling is that if she actually cared about her son’s well being and mental health, and trying to make his childhood good so that he wouldn’t end up as one of those family vlog kids making money off of their trauma in 10-15 years, she would completely stay away from the platform and get a regular job to help provide. It probably wouldn’t pay the same, but I’d say that’s a tiny price to pay for not emotional manipulating your children and, yes, being a bad parent.

I totally agree about being held accountable but the Internet does take it to a point where it doesn’t need to go telling someone to off themselves or to drive into a pole or this or that that’s not necessary we want people to be held accountable but people saying those types of things are even worse than the person that they’re telling to off themselves they should be held accountable for saying such disgusting non-human things to another human being. You can tell someone how you feel and make them take accountability for some thing without going to that level no human should say disgusting things to another human like they do. That’s the problem with cancel culture. Anyone that is willing to say those disgusting things should be banned off the Internet there’s different ways to be held accountable other than being told to off yourself or any other disgusting thing. KZbin has no regulations for children being filmed unlike the acting industry, so parents can easily manipulate and exploit their kids to an extreme level. It can be unhealthy for kids to have cameras in their faces all the time. She’s not on the same level of other family vlogging channels that I know of, but channels like 8 Passengers? They’re messed up beyond belief. I don’t know how they still have their children and CPS has not intervened that we know of.

My mother is a borderline sociopath with a narcissistic streak. Difference between a full-blown sociopath and a borderline is that a sociopath literally doesn't care or cares very minimally about how they are hurting you because they don't understand why or how it hurts you; a borderline knows what they are doing is wrong, that it will hurt others and choose to do it anyway because they benefit somehow and their selfishness outweighs the suffering caused. All I hear is "me, me, me" in her apology. This shows her narcissism, too. CPS should be knocking on her door and making her take a mental health evaluation to ensure that she is capable of caring for her child in an appropriate and unharmful manner. She literally stopped her "important" message to fix her camera. If she cared more about her "apology", she wouldn't have cared about that. Then she plays the victim, which she said she wasn't going to do. She's just pandering to get followers and views again. I've seen and heard it a million times with my own mom. Thankfully I didn't have to deal with YT moms during my childhood or it would have been even worse, but FB showed me enough. Any even remotely negative thing that could "ruin her reputation" was immediately met with flying dishes, screaming, slaps, hitting, just straight up verbal, physical and emotional abuse. We only see what's going on while the video is on with this woman. We got a glimpse of what happens when she thinks the camera is off. If that is mild, I can clearly understand and recognize how she would be at home without recording. She's more than likely neglectful unless she needs her child for a video, pushes him onto others under pretenses that make her look good and he's probably learned that telling anyone anything bad results in severe consequences, so he doesn't say anything out of fear of what will happen when he gets home. This breaks my heart. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it. This woman gave me so many emotional and physical flashbacks that I feel sick.
