This is so creepy and some sociopath stuff. My heart goes out to the kids, they're victims in this as well. I lost my dad when I was 9, and he was 39 too. As I grow up (I'm 24), I realize 39 is so young to pass away and he had so much life to live. She's a monster.

The husband mentioned previously that the wife was trying to kill him. Her family didn’t like her. The day the dad died, she had a party to celebrate closing a house. The kids aunt stated that the wife had access to her husbands safe with cash in it and she opened it right away (like she was obviously trying to get ahold of cash quickly) - the aunt attempted to speak with her about this for the sake of her kids and got punched. Finally the mom pulled out a 2 million dollar life insurance policy on her husband - there is no way she would ever get away with this. This stupid book (the bits in pieces I saw looked horrible) - this book made things so much worse. Ugh she’s horrible

Apparently she punched the sister in law because she was told that the husband wrote her out of his will and therefore she had no right to the money in the safe; and also his sister was named as the beneficiary of his $500K life insurance policy, not Kouri. This news enraged Kouri and she punched the sister, and later sued for the rights to the property. She did however benefit from 4 other life insurance policies totaling $1.9m, but obviously she's not getting that now. She killed him because she was somehow in debt to the tune of over $2m, and he was also claiming that she spent over $500K of his money without his knowledge, and was divorcing her. No clue why, she sounds like a keeper 🤦🏼‍♂️

@@FrenkTheJoy oh, I fully believe that would happen. I’ve seen lawyers have cases where their client is indefensible, but they had to try something so they thought of just some stupid reasoning that they could think of. I don’t blame the lawyers, it’s their job so they can’t just sit there and be like “yeah my client did it but… maybe don’t send them to jailforthatlongforsomereason,idontknow? (voice increasing gets higher pitched and nervous)” I once saw a lawyer defend a woman who hired a hitman to kill her husband (who was an undercover agent and the whole thing was recorded) get up to address the jury, and the defense he came up with was, “Yes, you did see my client hire a hitman and told them exactly how she wanted it done… but you see her husband likes the mtv reality show ‘Cheaters’, so it’s OBVIOUS that he’s the guilty one and set this whole thing up to be like a reality tv star, so really my client is the victim.” It’s stupid, but the sad thing is some people actually believed it because it was a hung jury. Luckily, she was already in jail so this is just her trying to get her verdict appealed years later, and since it landed in a hung jury, she still stayed in jail but it just meant she could come back again later to try again, which she did. I feel so bad for her (not yet ex) husband. He had to deal with a lot of shit, and people were still defending the woman who tried to murder him (who weren’t her lawyer).

My grandfather, arguably my strongest father figure, died when I was 14 and he was 59 (he had a history of heart attacks and health issues, so it unfortunately wasn’t a completely unexpected end). Plus I experienced the loss of multiple pets (mainly due to their older ages). There’s plenty to be said for how to approach kids with the harrowing process of grief and loss. Kids shows like Mr Rogers and Sesame Street have made commendable efforts in that regard. But for this murderer to use that as a cover for her crime…. I think even Lucifer himself would be disgusted

Wow this is honestly unbelievable. I actually lost my husband in October of 2021 (he was 30) I was left with 3 young kids to raise on my own, and it's been incredibly hard. Honestly I'm surprised I haven't seen her book as I've been researching books like this to help get my kids through the loss of their dad. How she was able to WRITE A BOOK and go on talk shows within a year is unfathomable *especially* a book about helping children cope when her children barely even had time to cope with it! I mean I could barely leave the house the whole first year after my husband died, and I'm still struggling. Its a heartache I cannot begin to describe and I cannot understand why anyone would willingly put their family through such a tragic and life changing situation (especially your own kids!) she's definitely a psychopath and honestly that just makes me feel so sad for their children..

I don't like when people are like "oh that's not how a grieving person should act!" because it's not like there's one way to do it, but the way she was like "Yeah sooooo" in the way people do when they're talking about what inspired them to write a cookbook full of dog-safe recipes was super weird. I like to think I would've found that odd if I'd seen it before I knew she killed him.
@raelynn81
@raelynn81 Жыл бұрын
@@FrenkTheJoy Had nothing to do with how she grievied, it was more about how she was very nonchalant about it. The two ladies who were talking to her seemed more upset. It was also a year after the death that she was on TV for her book. I would think she would have shown a bit of emotion when she spoke about her kids coping with loosing their dad but it was like she was talking to some person on the street about the weather. The show was just odd to me, but knowing she is the one who allegedly did it... Makes a bit more sense.

@@FrenkTheJoy Yeah, I have autism, so I know my grieving looks a little weird. Sometimes I get actually very giddy for no reason. I laugh uncontrollably at funerals. But this feels different. She just sounds like she is describing how to teach the kids to, like, tie their shoes or something

I’m family friends with Eric and the worst part was at his funeral the soccer team he couched (all 11-12 year olds) showed up and watched their couch who all impacted their lives lay dead in the casket. That shit made me sick and genuinely heartbroken seeing their faces get destroyed with him laying there lifeless. On a good note there is HELLA evidence built against her and she should be getting the justice she deserves. Our whole family is waiting for this evil woman to get locked up

I feel like I have to share more for anyone who cares but she was also having an affair with someone who is also willing to testify in court and the 2m house she wanted to buy it was my uncle who told Eric not to go through with it cause she wanted to flip the house to make a profit but it had a lot of problems and wasn’t in a good location so he told Eric it would be a bad idea to buy it and the day she “allegedly” poisoned him she bought it. She was clearly planning this for awhile. And a fun lil fact about her family is her mom had a husband who died of mysterious circumstances also so it seems to run in the family

All funds put into trusts for the children and in care of a reputable firm whom will handle insured investments and returning complete control of each child upon the age of majority. 4. All publishing rights and royalties from the book should be transferred to the children. (just because she was the cause of the grief doesn't invalidate the methods found in the book)

As some one who lost her dad when I was 20 due to a heart attack that pain doesn’t get any easier. You just kinda learn to make room for it. Even as a young adult it is still so hard to realize that someone who took care of you and was there for you isn’t there anymore. I can’t imagine how hard it is as a kid to loose your parent and then finding out that your other parent was responsible. My heart aches for those kids and I can only hope the best for them and hope they have amazing lives.❤

those poor kids. As someone who lost a dad at age 11 (i have younger and older siblings) this just makes me so damn angry. I can’t imagine how those kids feel. How dare she help them and other kids grieve when she was the one who caused that. The part where she mentions watching her kids struggle pisses me off even more. My mom and I were talking about my dad recently (it’s been 22 years) and she mentioned how she still sees her five kids just huddled together on the couch just completely numb but beyond broken. I know I was 11 but I honestly only remember bits and pieces of the funeral and shiva which is normal. The day he died though, that’s so detailed

I feel like being a widow and a single mom to her is a life choice and a something she has been working to achieve for a long time. Who goes out and buys a bunch of dead dad grief books for their kids, just seems like reinforcing the tragedy. writing a book about it and going on TV is like tripling down on the lifestyle. I bet all she talks about to anybody is how hard it is to be a single mom and dealing with grief and stuff, what a piece of work.

Keep in mind that before this monster married this poor man, the man's mother made her sign a prenup! So that's why she tried changing his life insurance policy behind his back. His business partner actually caught this, & told the husband about it where he was able to change it & put it in his sister's name (if I remember correctly)... so when he died & the wife tried to cash in her plot, she found out she was discovered. Why the husband didn't get the f out when he discovered she went behind his back....is beyond me. Especially when he felt he's been drugged by her before.... he didn't deserve this & especially those children didn't deserve this. Let this be a cautionary tale... listen to ur gut instincts & when someone shows you which they are, LISTEN TO THEM!!!! It's pure insanity to give someone benefit of doubt, even when it's your spouse. May those children find healing & love to live fruitful, successful lives. I pray their mother has not compromised their futures, especially emotionally. 😞

I'm just floored that she can just look into her babies' eyes and lie to them to the face. To see the sorrow she caused to her children, to take someone from them and then live as though she wasn't the one that caused it. I'm just lost. YES, and to PROFIT!!! She should have to pay all that money to the children's trust and allow them to spend it on their future. The one she took from them. They not only lost one parent. I'm just disgusted.
