Attaching A Pack Tail To A M1928 Haversack

Pack tail dated 1944 (central slipper).
M1928 haversack dated 1942 ( J.A. SHOE).

Would pack tails have been used in the field or just while training/garrison duty?

Night Stalker935 hi yes they would have been used in the field. In side you would have your tent half with polls, bed roll, Extra socks and personal effects. Hope this helps.

hey man me again i dont seem to find any videos on how to pack it can you show me how with te tail if i wear my haversack it bulks up en my back en then there ius space between my pack and my back?

Javier Gomez hi for a cartridge belt the back two hooks are hooked on the last two grommet holes of the belt. Then the inside front strap hooks on the front second Grommet holes and the other strap goes under your armpit and hooks on to the packs D ring near to where the pack tail goes. Hope this helps. @@ChrisfurrsMilitaria1941 Actually I have a 1942 Boyt Haversack that was modified to only have one strap and hook like the M1910 Haversack. And the color is still the original mustard color just lightly faded.
