Whenever I hear about amazing parents like you discuss here it breaks my heart for those of us who grew up in volatile environments. And I try to focus on the gratitude I feel that many kids get to have parents who care so deeply and see them as people. Thank you for the healing you always share with us.

I have a major attachment to money. I am so afraid of running out of it that I am afraid to spend any of it and I count where every single penny goes. I hate spending money on anything, and it's really impacted how I treat myself and my social life. Definitely needed to hear this

I just went to find the Peter Doran song, Every little thing, I could honestly listen to it on repeat 💕💕 So true 🙌

I sing it to myself when I catch myself looking at something in the store that was not on my list but feel tempted to buy it... works like magic ✨

Child Collecting things---> What about using each item picked up as a teaching moment?? That stick...gee the animals and birds will use that (or need that) for shelter, it's SO GREAT that you saw it, where should we lay it back down so they can find it? A bottle cap or piece of glass, gee that can be made into another item (various things can be recycled, look in your area for artist who use those items too) and say "wow, you are right that OBJECT is probably going to be happy when it's re-used properly. Also mentioning how the child can collect some items but you might have to allow other families to help too and leave that item....pointing out that the most important thing is that we take care of our own discarded items is our job as individuals....obviously praising for the thoughtful ideas and efforts the child is making.

So many words from the mum, just say: let someone else have the opportunity to collect as well. And move on.

I'm not going to subscribe to your patreon because I am a minimalist and I don't need that

You mean nearly 500 episodes about minimalism doesn't defeat the purpose of the very topic?
