Attempting another Munro camp but this time on a good weather day!
Revisiting one of my first Munros I decided to camp on a large grassy area directly across Stuchd an Lochain. Steep climbing but once up at 850 metres the views opened up for the night and it was worth it!

Great video. Nice to see you pushing yourself and doing some cooking. I'm definitely a dehydrated meal on a wild camp man... it feels like a rest from cooking all week. Agree about camping also letting you experience more of the hill to. It's nice to slow down and enjoy the surroundings a little more. Look forward to your next one 😊

Thanks Kevin. I do find the Wayfayrer meals to be more convenient for sure. As I’ve said to others I will probably save the cooking for winter camps to break up the longer nights in the tent. ATB Gaz

8/10 would put this in the very good category for my ratings. It’s definitely a good spot for camping if you’re ever there Murchie. The attachment is useful and you will remember how to put it on the stove after watching my attempt at attaching it. Always enjoyed my early mornings. I always set off for hikes before 5am. I’ve actually came back to the car after bagging Munro’s before anyone else has left for their hike. Good way to get summits to yourself too👍 Thanks Murchie ATB Gaz

Brilliant vid Gaz, the scenery was amazing and both the sunset and sunrise were awesome. Loved the cooking section. that was hilarious, but you'll get better with practice and when you've gathered some more essentials like scissors etc. Looking forward to the next one.

Well don on trying to wild cook a bit! Its a nice change since all the camping folk on youtube these days depend on the bag meals. Also the sunny views are amazing on this one, nice change from the foggy rain you normally have.

I can definitely see why people use the lightweight camping meals on camping trips when walking over long distances on varied terrain. Cheers Graham, I was unsure how it would go to be honest but I was happy with the results. I think cooking will be a regular thing in the winter months when the nights are longer. I highly recommend a Swiss Army Knife! Aha, and another 2 comments below saying the same lol! I have the Explorer, goes on every camp. Apart from the scissors you need, the parcel hook on the back of the knife is perfect for pulling out tent pegs, especially on frosty mornings...

Yeah I agree about the road. The bit after the bridge of balgie is a pain for sure. The Ben Lawers road has been fairly quiet for camping this year. The pan is called Lixada on Amazon. ATB Gaz

Ha, ha dont enter masterchef some time soon Gaz, wasnt to long a video, as for the meat you used, I read Iceland Asda and lidle import chicken from Poland, that's riddled with disease, just saying. Myself I would have put a pressure cooker on top of that stove for no more than ten minutes, with water on way up and full of big pieces of broccoli cauliflower purple cabbage carrots and sweet potatoes and a couple of full bulbs of garlic, heads sliced off.
