It’s a big commitment and challenge because I work every second Saturday and in winter with the lack of daylight it can be hard to have the time which is why I do short walks like this camp. Always worth making the time for the camps though. Thanks for your comment. ATB Gaz

Hello Folks! It’s not often you hear Monty complain about a vestibule being too big. What’s your thoughts on the tent? Devilla Forest this time for a camp. Sometimes one of us does not have the time to do the hills so places like this is a good back up. Hope you enjoy.

I’m looking for colder weather and clear skies. Nice have warmer temperatures with the clouds but it usually brings too much rain with it. Once a week is possible. Just a shame I work every second Saturday so I’m up against the daylight. ATB Gaz

The Elixir is now my oldest tent and when I bought it back in 2019 I was not paying attention to the colour back then. It is a nice colour and works well with this tent. ATB Gaz

Another brilliant vid Gaz, the autumn colours were amazing and I'll give you 10/10 for the chilli con carne. The roadtrip sounds good totally understand if it doesn't happen though, I know how plans can change, but definitely looking forward to the other trips you're planning.

Thanks Suszh, unfortunately the road trip never went ahead or to plan due to the weather conditions this week. Managed to get a camping video done on Tuesday and have another planned for Saturday with Monty so all good now. Look forward to sharing my future trips with you. ATB Gaz

Should have an interesting video of the new tent coming up next Wednesday. Got to test it out on a first windy camp and it performed well.. maybe even better than the Soulo. Agree that winter is a hard time but once January is out the way it becomes a little bit more bearable I think. ATB Gaz

I’m due a camp in the Pentlands. Still need to find out what the parking situation is like there now with the changes to the car parks. Heard about the pay and display but will need to find out about the overnight parking there. Would not surprise me if there is no overnight parking signs up after the recent behaviour at the Reservoirs the last few summers. Either way I hope you get out and enjoy a wild camp soon. ATB Gaz

Monty's purely belter man...... Looks like an extra from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest! The most frightening wild camp I've ever had was in a large wood/forest in the borders area....... I dunno what the f**k was going on but I didnae get 1 wink of sleep. I was born & raised in the countryside so it's no as if I divnae kna about wild animals and the noises they make of a nighttime, but this was on another level. Never again. I love the set-up in a woodland camp, having a fire, cooking on it, etc, etc...... But no not for me! ATB

I usually avoid woodland camps. The sounds and darkness has never bothered me but I just find the hills more interesting and enjoyable. When it comes to a campfire I prefer having one at an open Loch with views of the Munro’s when it’s dark.

The vestibule is way to big half that size would be perfect. Getting out once a month is hard enough for me let alone once a week😁 But look forward to watching your adventures as always. 👍🏻🍻

I agree with the vestibule being too big. Makes the tent far too big and vulnerable to the wind. I think once a week is a good goal to stay motivated. Maybe being single helps with that🤔 More adventures to come👍 take care, ATB Gaz

​@GazTheExplorer alright cocker. Asked you about parking at this location around 5 months ago. Lol only just got round to taking a drive over. Turns out you can't park in the police collage as there is a barrier ?? Did you just park in the housing estate below ? Cheers Bud.
