Attempting to Manually RESET My Reverse Camera on My 2021 Hyundai Elantra SEL in Engineering Mode

Back in March of 2024, my Reverse Back Up Camera STOPPED Working Completely…
It started off with a glitchy screen and then went to completely NON-FUNCTIONAL.
If my efforts to troubleshoot are unsuccessful in the next few weeks, I obviously am taking the next step and replacing the camera myself.
In this video, I share with you Reverse Camera Logs present in the engineering mode, on the head unit, and erasing and deletions taking place, in an attempt to restart the camera’s function..

Besides plain old malfunctioning and weatherization playing a factor on my camera, my hopes was and still is, to remedy the issue without having to pay out of pocket.
Please take extreme caution not to alter your own vehicle and user beware.
I am and was very cautious and patient and in a closed safe environment giving myself the time and pace and precision to remain cautious during this particular troubleshooting phase.

UPDATE: As of NOVEMBER 20th, 2024: Hyundai has chosen to issue: Manuafacturer Recall Number: 271 regarding my vehicle!! 🤩 The solder joints may have been insufficient on the camera’s circuit board, increasing the risk of failure during operation. ALL OWNERS OF THE SUBJECT VEHICLES WILL BE NOTIFIED BY FIRST CLASS MAIL WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO BRING THEIR VEHICLES TO A HYUNDAI DEALER FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE REARVIEW CAMERA. This remedy will be offered at NO COST to owners for all affected customers. Hyundai WILL PROVIDE reimbursement to owners for prior repairs in accordance with the plan submitted to NHTSA on February 22, 2024… My personal recall status as of NOVEMBER 23, 2024: recall INCOMPLETE. “remedy not yet available!!!” NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM A VERY HAPPY HYUNDAI OWNER TODAY!!! 🥳 🚘 👍 🤗

@patrickbell8623 Read into the comments on relational videos and you may be fortunate enough to find it out…Unfortunately I cannot share the code amongst others seeing as it could cause potential problems for owners who accidentally brick their rides…I hope you understand the risks and liabilities at stake, and certainly wish you the best with coming across what you need… If you do happen to get in, PLEASE take MAJOR PRECAUTIONS to avoid PERMANENTLY ruining your ride… Take care for now!!! 🚘 🙏

It’s frustrating. I have an extended warranty and I mentioned to them to check it out (also front sensor), but they just pretty much overlooked what I said. Also, there’s no way of knowing if it’s an electrical, system, or camera issue.

There’s a possibility of permanent damage to the vehicle and voidable warranty as a result… Extreme caution is supposed to be used whenever making an attempt at doing so… Someone was kind enough to share the code once with me and knew I’d be responsible with it and not make changes. My complete warranties expire within a few thousand miles as well… Best of Luck finding it possibly within the comments of some very useful videos!! But IF you do get a hold of it, PLEASE TAKE EXTREME CAUTION NOT TO CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE!!! Best of Luck and Thanks for inquiring!! 🤗 🚘 🌲
