I have one doubt: during moring and unmoring operation time, how can we find out if the rope will be broken or not? and how can we prevent accidents? I'm a GP rating student. How they stay alert and attention

At first, crew should inspect lines periodically and before mooring ops, second - ussualy winches have no so power to break line by load presettings. Anyway, lines should be enough and not too much tight. You will see it. when rope becoming strong. No any means of control, except your own feels and eyes.
