Frankel's biggest ever winning distance

Frankel - the greatest horse of all time? The Frank Whittle Partnership Conditions Stakes at Doncaster in September 2010 was the first time we suspected we could be dealing with something special in the Galileo colt trained by the great Sir Henry Cecil and ridden by Tom Queally. The second start of his career, Frankel retired with 14 victories from 14 races and with a reputation as arguably the greatest to ever grace the Turf.

I suppose if you wanted to make an argument against it would be that (afaik) he only rsised one distance - whereas other great horses perhaps demonstrated a greater range.

@@darrenhancock3570 If you even had Wikipedia page level of knowledge of the severe injuries Black Caviar sustained in running you would acknowledge you did not see the best of her nor underestimate the bravery and indication of natural talent that she did still manage to win. Only casuals from Australia do not acknowledge Frankel's brilliance. The industry does. There are arguments about the Timeform rating, but that's not exclusive to Australia.

@anotherblonde, Was just recently reading on-line that Frankel's mother, Kind, was unsuccessful at becoming in foal after being covered by Kingman, so they've scheduled another date for her with Galileo again in the very near future.

Frankel was and his sire run's on so when I see ahorse bred I always back them because he was class act I would UV love to see a battle with Galileo and Frankel that would be a race

2nd to none at a mile. Can't be considered the greatest as he never ran at 12f. He would have needed to win the likes of the Derby, King George, Arc to be ranked among the greats. Not a patch on SeaBird, Nijinsky, Mill Reef to name but three.

Superior to Nijinsky. The horses Nijinsky came up against were not as good as those Sea Bird or Mill Reef raced against. Sea Bird never won a group 1 race at a mile, neither did Mill Reef(my all time favourite).

I always believe that Frankel's Greatest win was in Queen Anne Stakes over 1 mile, Frankel produced split fractions faster than any runner in the 5f King’s Stand Stakes Gr.1, run on the same card.
