That’s one of the most beautiful woodworking (and metalworking) projects I’ve ever seen. I particularly loved the way you showed it to us first, then showed how you made it. I have to admit, when you went from showing the finished project to the first stage with the basic wood cuts, I had no idea how you were going to get from start to finish. Watching you do so was just mesmerizing. You are an extraordinary craftsman/artisan... and you have a new subscriber. Amazing camera work and production values, too! Just... WOW!

I was a Diamond Mounter by trade(making jewellery) in my youth, and then a carpenter by trade, and have been questioning whether it was possible to combine the two as I no longer am a carpenter, I crave that creativity back as a hobby, and wondered if I could re-discover that precision I had back in the day. Then I see something as exquisite as this, and you have re-awakened that train of thought thank you. Although in the future if I could produce a piece of art as beautiful as this, I would be extremely proud of myself. You are a breath of fresh air 👍

An impressive work of art a world champion would be proud to receive as a prize, it will never be outdated. You are a master. I've had lathe for wood for 40 years (now no 3). Utilizing them eagerly, began making small bowls with a lid with inlaid metal, such as Copper, Brass, Silver, a little Gold, coins and medals on the lids. Fine for gifts, the girls liked them best, they used them to put rings and necklaces on the bedside table. They brought little things and rings that they had had as little ones, and young ones. Asked if I could make them bowls and mount them on the lids. Now I am chronically ill, use oxygen (COPD) and the lathe has been left alone for a long time. None of the kids wanted to learn, the computer came and took them :). That's why it's so nice to look at you and others using the lathe, the saw and the sander. Then I lie to reminisce.
