Seriously? you think every other couple actually wants to get angry with each other? And it's unrealistic as fuck, we're humans, we can't just choose to never feel anger towards other person, what matters is how you deal with it.

Upon second listening I think what really helped me understand the difference between getting angry and getting frustrated was you can love someone and still be frustrated with them. We are humans, yes. But anger is like rage … a full blown fire that will burn down your relationship if it is not kept in check. Like he said you might be stressed with work, not sleeping enough or having everything go wrong that day and your partner does or saids something that irritated you in the moment so you said or acted frustrated or irritated. But usually frustration and irritation doesn’t last very long. Its quick. It happens and goes leaves quickly and you apologize right away and take a second to self regulate. Getting angry is ruminating and it’s much bigger than frustration. Anger can take time to heal and that’s what cause relationships to strain and break apart. I told my bf last night when he snapped at me out of frustration that I now understand the difference between that and anger. Whereas in the past I would’ve shut down and ruminated. The anger would’ve consumed me,how dare he snap at me who does he think he is? Etc etc and ruin the whole day out of something so small. I’m glad I was able to express to him how I felt and for us to find a solution without blame. It’s so important for couples to be able to be vulnerable without blame. Again this is not to say you will snap at your partner or be annoyed, it just means how quickly you both can get over issues together and be each others support, that will only bring you closer. To choose love and peace over ego and addictive negative emotions and it’s been proven anger is addictive. And usually anger can be one’s own insecurity that’s just projected onto the other person and that’s our own responsibility to heal.

So, a very new couple giving relationship advice after spending only a few years together. :) I see her being a lot into him, but not him being so much into her. Like he found finally a bit of peace in love but peace and constant therapy are not the main pillars of a relationship.
