Google”How do you remove spring from atv shock” and watch the first suggested clip,you have to have something to compress the spring,preferably a spring compressor,even then it’s still sketchy to me.i just had my shock break and found an entire replacement shock and spring luckily and don’t have to risk life and limb to remove spring,be careful buddy

Hey I have a trx250r and Im having trouble getting top bolt out?do I need to start with the wisbone first or the bottom bolt

Prop up the rear of the ATV and remove the bottom bolt first. That takes the compression/tension off of the shock and makes it easier to dig in and remove the top bolt

@@atvtheory3151 I like to spray it with penetrating oil and if you're not going to reuse the shock heated up if you're going to reuse the shock heated up on the nut side of the bolt on the bottom using a shield made out of a license plate or whatever with a little hole drilled in it or a slot cut in it
