I only have large mouth bass here so I had to pickup a more heavy duty rod & reel. I bought one 7 ft ugly stik & Shakespeare GX4 combo. Might pickup something more heavy duty down south. I grabbed gold & silver spoons, few swim baits some jig heads & gulp soft plastics. Anything else you recommend?

I was using 30 pound Braid to 20 pound fluro leader. It held up pretty good, I think you’re good to go man. Some of the guys like to use live bait at the Jetty but we didn’t.

What’s going on! Im a freshwater fisherman and my answer may not be the the best but I was using a 4500 series spinning reel with a medium heavy rod. I wished I had a 6000 or 8000 sized reel for some of that bigger fish. (Kings and Tarpons)
