You can't steal anybody's partner. He was a person in power, an older man who was an employee. She was aware and guilty, behaved immorally and bad, but the whole situation wouldn't take place if the man conducted himself properly. I highly doubt that he was stolen from his wife, because the person he went after was his employee, someone he felt superior to. Stop infantilising grown a(s)² men who betray and destroy their families, talking about them like beasts who just roam around, and romance any person that is up to it, unwillingly. Like the only person who has any obligations to the man's family is not himself but all women, because nobody can expect loyalty from a man. If they don't refuse, it's their fault that a family falls apart because men are thoughtless machines. Of course, people who engage with people in committed relationships are weird and deserve condemnation but damn. Stealing? Really?

"This case is absolutely chilling and heart-wrenching. The level of deceit and manipulation involved is beyond comprehension, especially considering the betrayal by someone Christine trusted the most-her own husband. The way Brendan and Juliana allegedly conspired, not just to commit such horrific acts but to also tarnish the victims’ reputations, is truly vile. It's a stark reminder of how greed, lust, and a complete lack of empathy can lead to unimaginable tragedy. My heart breaks for their young daughter, who has to grow up with this nightmare as her reality. Justice can't come soon enough for Christine and Joseph."

I understand what you're saying, but it takes a pretty awful person to murder their child's other parent.. there's a difference between being a parent and randomly killing someone, and being a parent and murdering your child's other parent. I think that is what Kendall was trying to say..

My husband is a homicide detective in VA and is on an OIS task force and the reason why he doesn’t have to be mirandized for the administrative investigation is because they do two separate investigations, one through the federal government for administrative purposes (whether he’ll be fired and/or receive disciplinary action through work), and the local police do a criminal investigation to see if the shooter was justified in self defense or defense of the home, or if criminal charges need to be pressed. So Miranda wouldn’t be applicable for an administrative investigation, just the criminal one done by local police

Most go through companies that do background checks and have rules set in place for the safety and comfort of the au pair, honestly there’s not much that goes wrong aside from similar situations to this. The only horror stories I’ve ever heard about start with the au pair starting an inappropriate relationship with the husband.

This is horrible!! I have followed you for years Kendall, but this story is close to home - I was an Au Pair in Fairfax almost ten years ago. Back then, I knew there was some rumours that some au pairs (never knew them directly) had affairs with their host dads, but I could never imagine how someone would want to do something like that. To do that to the family who lets you into their home, or to the kids that you love and take care of. I can’t even grasp that, so how can anyone be okay with breaking up a family and kill somebody?! My heart truly goes out to all the victims, to Joseph and Christine, but also the little girl who lost her family 😢❤ I hope justice will come soon!
