Aubrey is (apparently) unaware of the power she yields ...... She has a unique form of charisma which both attracts and repels people at the same time - that is why Schur said that it was the "most uncomfortable" he'd ever been - and yet he altered the entire concept of the show to accommodate Aubrey - creating a role for her so that she could be in the show..... Aubrey also doesn't seem to realize that she had been preparing for this moment for much of her life.... She wasn't just some person who walked in off the street..... Everything she had done in her life (all 25 years to that point) were incorporated into her psyche and experiential skill set. Her community theater work, her education at NYU, her work with the Improv Group, and even all those waitressing jobs - they all informed her with a sort of living resume, which she admits to having articulated to Schur during the interview..... Those ideas she had came from somewhere! and, when Aubrey claimed NOT to be a genius - She is wrong - perhaps she doesn't understand the true meaning of the word "genius" ..... Aubrey has a genius for comedic timing and for being able to transform herself into different roles (aka, acting) ...... That genius has blossomed in recent years - and she has grown into one of the premiere leading ladies in Hollywood today ..... and that brings us full circle to what i said about her charismatic personality ...... Aubrey is a Box Office Sensation ..... In 2012 that was recognized when her first leading role in a feature film came along (Safety Not Guaranteed - a movie made with her in mind for that lead role) ..... Aubrey has a fan following of millions (check out the number of hits on her youtube videos) ..... Hollywood movie makers and producers realize this..... As near as i can tell, she will star in 3 feature films next year (Emily the Criminal, Spin Me Around, and Operation Fortune) - i remember when Sidney Poitier starred in the 3 feature films in 1967 (To Sir With Love, In the Heat of the Night, and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner) - at that time, Sidney was 3 years older than Aubrey is now.... Just as Sidney was my favorite actor then, Aubrey is my favorite actor now! She is the REAL DEAL

nice catch - but that sentiment on her part was how she felt about herself (at the time) based upon her experience and abilities..... she studied "film making" at NYU, and took private acting lessons in her spare time, and so when she landed all three gigs in 2009 (Parks & Rec, Funny People, and Scott Pilgrim) she was (in her own mind - based upon her own experience) "over her head" ...... the miracle IS NOT that Aubrey got these roles at that time in her career..... the miracle is what she was able to do with that opportunity ..... someday they will make a movie about Aubrey, and about her wonderful success story (i hope).
