You are not kidding with the torx that holds the rotor on. Don’t over tighten. Both sides on mine were stripped I had to drill it out and retap with an 8mm then go to the hardware store for SS bolts. Thanks again for this video!

NO NEED TO REMOVE CALIPER BRACKET. TAKE OF T30 BOLT AND SLIDE ROTOR OUT FROM BRACKET. DON'T MESS WITH THE 18MM BOLTS HOLDING CALIPER BRACKET ON!!

Some you can do that, some others, the only way to remove the disc is by removing the bracket... 👍👍👍

Its good idea , to put the anti seize behind the brake hardware , not above . Its stainless steal , so its not going to rust , but if rust gets underneath , this will block the pads from moving . P.S. we all saw the brake caliper hanging on the brake line
@LMAutoRepairs7 жыл бұрын
Crank I usually tie wrap the caliper to the spring... in this case the brake hose is straight, not bending or kinky... so is not really stressing the hose... nevertheless you have a point... it shouldn't be like that... Thank you for watching and for your comment!

bracket has two external 21 mm hex bolts and the little screw on the brake rotor disc is an internal torx size t30 if I recall correctly :)

Hi, I have Audi A5 2010 manual s line, on the dashboard my parking brakes is flashing. I took it to 3 garages and they still haven’t fixed it. I was wondering if you are in the UK and you can fix this for me please? Thanks

I would help you, but as might do or not know, i do this jobs as a part time... and at the moment, I do not really have the room, the weather has been... well, the typical british one... Did any of the garages gave you the diagnostic report, with the trouble codes?

@LMAutoRepairs maybe realize some people watch these videos because they DON'T no the basics or tricks. And they can't afford the expensive mechanic fees now days. Maybe make the videos for the people that's need the help and your channel would grow more and you wouldn't be wasting your time. Being a smart ass doesn't help those that are trying to learn. You may as well delete this video cause all it did was waste my time and probably many others
