Planning to buy a car in this particular segment (60-65 lacs). I had almost zeroed in at A6 when heard the news that New Jaguar XF has been launched in other countries and is certainly expected soon to be coming to India. Also BMW 5 Series has been undefeated champion in this segment in terms of driving dynamics, but now showing its age lately. Should i wait for the new Jaguar XF to be launched in India or still stick to my consideration of Audi?

+Sudhendu Kumar If you seriousrly need a drivers car.. Go for 5 series..I have been using 5 series and its been a very good car.. audi a6 lacks in handleing compared to the 5 series.. XF is good too.. but it takes some time

Thanks for that. Though new XF seems to have taken quite a bit of a pace in this segment, if all those wildfires are to be believed, and is expected to set a new benchmark when launched in the country. As said, the 5 series is a top notch choice in this segment for drivers. But it's showing age, both interior and exterior. And A6 still looks fresh aesthetically, especially with Matrix update! I drive the car myself but not a frugal driver as BMW 5er expect me to be!!! And i expect i'll not be disappointed with A6 either with my driving configuration (P.S: I've taken test ride of A6 and that wasn't something to complain about anywhere, any bit). I've taken your words and soon try my hands behind the wheel of 5er as well to finally match with those of A6.

+Sudhendu Kumar cool then. I would suggest you the XF rather than the audi. It has got good performance. Handsome looker obvio, spacious cabin. And better handling than some. :). I wouldnt recommend 5er for the back seat. Its very cramp And its very bad compared to the lot. My dad drives a. Merc E250. Yu could even try that either. Its been a good car us except for some service and parts bills by the stupid dealer here in andhra :p

Thanks once again for suggestion. I think i'm getting closer to my destination than if i've had been on Beemer (Lol :P). As we both mentioned that for Newer Jaguar XF we'll have to wait for a couple of months more. Currently i drive myself Merc E 350 CDI and it's been quite a few years that i've spent with this legend. No doubt, it's an absolute car and it satisfies its occupant in all the possible areas that a benchmark car is expected to excel at. But it achieves flagship at none!!! Somewhere it misses the charisma of Beemer and that matrix-era of Audi.
