Great review Bob, just watched Nobby's review and like I said to him I think it looks fabulous though given the cost of it I doubt if I'll ever own one. Having said that as an insight into the future and how hopefully the technology will filter down to cheaper EVs and range wise it's not bad for what it is.

Looks great. Love that it has a traditional look to the interior rather than trying to create a dash board more suited to Captain Kirk. Didn't realise why I've often thought the front of EV cars looks odd until you mentioned the 'grille' appearance of the E-tron

A sexier look and a better finish than a Tesla Model S ? Of course yes. But on efficiency, performance, range, pricetag, charge network and technology, this Audi is still far behind Tesla.

In real world 70mph tests the Taycan, which is basically the same car as this, has a longer range than most Teslas

In fairness I think a lot of buyers of the eTron GT will never buy anything but Audi. They are Audi buyers who now have a good electric saloon option.

I like the styling better than the Porsche but I've always liked Audi's while at the same time never coming close to fitting one into the family budget.

Bob, John (ex Belfast, 40 years in Australia) regular viewer/subscriber) always enjoy the reviews. Please comment about the weather and if you use the climate control. That performance is awesome, perhaps the Police Highway Patrol needs this car! In Australia, very few electric charging places and European cars are dear to service, etc. Our KZbin CarExpert John Cadogan (pronounced Ka Doge An) has many comments about Customer Support from the German makers. I like the Sunday Service segments and the live comments, Bob. (Not sure about the hair-style, I suppose the family approve, Ha! Ha!) Take care and be well........JM

Hi Bob, you were certainly enjoying and gorging yourself on all the fantastic technicalitie's of this car, But where do you stand on that point there around 15:30 where you mention that Audi would like drivers to use proper friction braking when driving, i would have thought this would be a backward step to the overall efficiency of this or any Electric car where the driver is missing the opportunity to regen the Battery and also save ware and tear on there brake pads, I don't think this idea is very efficient , what do you think ?

Hi Bob, your still the same Audi fan boy and to be fair I am to but this new Audi is absolutely stunning in every respect inside and out. I'm going back I think to 2014 when you had a Audi S4 on a test drive and you fell in love with that car and you made me laugh with the line " Don't be afraid of the Quattro" then you had the A8 and the A7 they do detail like no other car maker (FACT). Give it a few years this car will sell like hot cakes just stunning as I'm seeing more and more Audi E-Tron's on the road every time I leave the house and I live in Liverpool so the is not much money about but customers are finding the cash and for good reason. This would be my Lotto win car you can keep Ferrari, Lamborghini etc this car ticks all the boxes for me. Congratulations Audi a great car but here in the UK we still lack charging points and ones that work when you need them. Thanks Bob a great review as always. Best Wishes Alan B x

I still can’t see the point of this car to be honest, Audi has a problem and it’s the Porsche, why buy this instead of the entry rear drive Porsche for snobs the badge is more desirable, it’s definitely a better looker externally and under the hood it’s almost the same with no range increase in real world driving . Maybe if Audi targeted a different design such as lc500 or Mercedes 500 But grand tour against grand tourer , you’ve got to really like the Audi to buy it

Tesla's dont have the premium look of the Audi though, especially in the interior. Exterior wise, the Audi wins also. Once the Germans begin to beat them on range/performance, who would bother buying a Tesla?

Battery tech will be light years better in 20yrs. High end performance will likely be a fuel cell hydrogen engine with a battery for City use
