Glad you liked it! Maybe it is just me thinking this but, I much prefer unplanned videos with no real agenda. No doubt, there are some great reviewers out there who will tell you everything in great depth about every car...but sometimes you just want to see 'what it's like'. As if you were on a brief test drive yourself.

Just sold my 2 year old Q5 and getting my Q4 40 SLine in a few weeks. (I only lost £4500 On the Q5 over 2 yrs as prices are high atm and I bought it really cheap when big diesels had a bad press !). Everything you said is true, its like a 'normal' Audi, but sooo much better. The way your mate reacted to it was hilarious, from deliberately not wanting to like it, to trying not to show how much he liked it 😀 It is a game changer, leccy cars have come of age with this one.

I ordered the 40 back in May. I’m moving from an SQ7 . I estimate I will save about £500 a month in fuel and insurance costs. I get delivery on sept 1st

Awesome! That is an incredible saving, I look forward to hearing how you get on with it. I am in talks with Audi this morning to borrow the Q4 again and put it head to head against the Q5 diesel, on a real world road trip to calculate the real savings. Especially if you live or work within the congestion zone.

I was stuck on whether to opt for the 40 or 50 performance was concerning me but you explained the performance very well in town, now cant wait to test the Q4 40.

Yeah, on paper the 40 performance looks poor but in real driving conditions it is plenty powerful enough, especially around town. Plus I think if you had the 50 you could be more tempted to put your foot down and therefore not drive as efficiently. Let me know which one you go for, either way it's a great car for the money. Feels like we are at a turning point for EV's with this car, affordable, good quality cars that aren't trying to be too radical and with very useable range.

Great video. I felt the same regarding the 40 being plenty powerful enough as a family car. I have a 40 sportback launch edition on order and can't wait.

Thank you! That's great, how long do you have to wait for delivery? From what I hear the Q4 is one of the only new cars Audi have a fairly short wait time for.

@@FunFindus Ahh that sucks but yes unfortunatley nothing you can do about that. That is a fairly short wait compared to other brands. I have heard of people having 18 month delays for Mercedes!

Another electric car that I’m a big fan of is the Tesla Model S My cousin has got one in white and everything about it is amazing in my opinion Torque, acceleration, speed, technology ect Great Audi Q4 though 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

That's my bad, I have done a series on this car but it was on my other channel. I will drop the link in here, it was a 4 part series on whether you can use an EV if you lived in a flat but for the demo I used the full sized e-tron. @@mrmuds8624 To be fair I think by the time they are in budget, depending on what that is of course they will probably feel quite dated in terms on range and performance and it was only 'OK' a couple years ago. The EV market is about to go crazy with way more affordable and better perfoming cars.

@@premiersports_uk Very true, I just recently sat in a 50 which a friend of mine got as a courtesy car and I was majorly impressed with the ride quality and refinement. For me personally, I want something that's quiet and refined and big enough for the family. Range is not an issue as pre pandemic I did about 50 miles tops in day. Charging won't be an issue as you stated in your videos as I have a drive and can easily get a 7kw charger fitted at home. For me the only thing that will out me off is the reliability of components such as the air suspension etc as it's pretty heavy so I suspect some of those components will need replacing at some point! I guess time will tell. Keep the videos coming. I've subscribed to your other channel also 😊

Got a 40 S-Line on order as a company car (no date yet!). Tried a few different EV’s (Ionic 5, Enyaq, ID4) and this was a cut above in terms of refinement and surprisingly cost. On my company scheme it’s the cheapest to lease - must be expecting stellar residuals. Great car, perfect for me with a dog and 12 year old. Looking forward to getting it but not got a confirmed delivery date yet and looking like 6 months+.

Interesting, I think you are right...for the price point is it probably the best EV out there. Wait times 6 months + seem to be pretty standard these days which is a bit of a worry. I'm actually considering one of these myself for when my BMW i3S goes back next November! If wait times continue like this I think I might have to get it ordered pretty soon.

I bet its about as big inside as the Q5 as the flat floor and lack of engine pushes the wheels to the corners. proper EVs often have more cabin space for the same size car

I'm sure if you asked Audi who they designed the car for (or that entire segment of car for that matter) they would say for a family. So yes, it is a Mom car by its very definition.

I cancelled my order. Needed a car that can travel between cities (600km) in winter time (-25C) and this will have a range of 200-250km while also requiring almost 1 hour to charge. Q4 is an inner city car.
