@@glukerpk3010 I know man, it's stupid... you lose the wrench accuracy and calibration by doing that.

I noticed that too, but it was obvious one of them was in training. Hopefully they told him something off camera. We all started somewhere. Or like the people that taught me used to say "nobody is born knowing"

Sometimes when the torque is a little higher than a round number and analog wrenches aren't always accurate, you go by the feel.

Your content is good, but do those guys understand what a torque setting and torque wrench are for?? The next mechanic is going to battle just like they did.

It would be great if you clean the disk calibers with a degreaser or something like that. Nice work

VAG usually doesn’t call for any copper grease in their service guides as normally the stuff they use has anti corrosive coatings on it already, so it is pointless and potentially even detrimental to use.
@evarage572 жыл бұрын
@@Jushwa yes they do call for copper antiseize. I work for VW UK. I can tell you from experience that they DO NOT have anti corrosive coatings on them. This is totally false.

1. Very unnecessary to loosen the wheel nuts with a wrench when you can use an impact gun to take them off. 2. You don't use a torque wrench to loosen bolts or ratcheting to get the bolt in. Only for final tightening. Should use a proper ratchet or a impact next time thanks
@rubberkey12192 жыл бұрын
Disc brake directly on the wheel hub!!! Without lube...
Torque wrench to loosen the bolts, then use impact? Am I watching the video in reverse?

@mturner2213 жыл бұрын
Same exact process but smaller caliper and you need a scan tool to put the brake in service mode/fully disengage parking brake. If you have the mechanical parking brake, you dont need a scan tool at all. Only for EPB.
@jonathank.3 жыл бұрын
@@mturner221 Thanks for comment. Any method without scan tool for EPB?
@mturner2213 жыл бұрын
@@jonathank. Not that i know of or would trust trying. Ive heard people just use the poston depressing tool while sliding the pads in to hold it open far enough. But problem is the pistons will clamp down again soon as you release it and your parking brake will be permanently engaged.

Used a torque wrench, looked like he didn't clean the oil off the rotors before installing them, and forgot to check the caliper pins too to see if they needed cleaning/re-lubing. Everyone starts somewhere I guess...I will give him points for the anti-seize on the rotors tho, as they can be a PITA to remove if rusted on. Also, Audi's look like a PITA to work on
