Audi Q7 / VW Touareg gas leak defect

mine is 2005 model,i had the starting problem 2 weeks ago and after that i noticed the gas smell all over the garage,is this dangerous?!!!

Hey Kevin, I have a 2007 Audi Q7 (VW Touareg) that is leaking fuel out of the top of the fuel tank, Is there a recall on this problem?

I'm from the future, lol. I know this issues is now a Factory Recall, you should be able to contact the dealer and get refunded for your expenses ;-)

hello Kevin I seem to be having a similar issue to where I am smelling gasoline outside of my Touareg. I tried to contact VW and nothing. how do I get this taken care of. I tried to see how to PM you but was not so lucky. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone had any luck with the gasoline leak issue ? My 2008 volkswagen touareg has a leak on the left side fuel sending unit as well.

So my 09 just started smelling like gas as well and vw dealership they said that their was a recall but it wasn't approved yet but as soon as i said safety issue they repair it for free and by the way this repair with parts its almost 900 dollars

I just want to post an update on this for those whom are curious. Volkswagen of America has approved the replacement of this part and the labor totaling just under 700 dollars. If anyone is interested is learning more please private messag me

Hi Kevin, my 04 Touareg just started smelling like gas on the driver's side about 4-6 weeks ago. I've climbed under the car several times to see if I can identify where the leak is, but can never find it. It sounds like I have the same problem / defect.
