Audi TT 20 years special edition review and drive (Mk3) - The Last Ever TT? | OVERTAKE

After 20 Years the Audi TT has become one of brand's most Iconic models. We review and drive the latest '20 years' special edition with Quattro AWD, 245ps TFSI engine and a 7 speed DSG dearbox. We also take a look back upon the history of the TT, including the mk1, mk2 and the mk3, to discover what made the model so successful over the years.
With no indication of an incoming replacement, Is the mk3 Audi TT the last TT? What does this mean for the Sports Coupe market in general, particularly as we march further towards electric cars and a continuing rise in SUV's and niche vehicles.

Great to see so much new content from you! I was surprised how eager and nimble the Mk1 felt when i tested one - looks like Audi has preserved those characteristics in the Mk3 which is great! Regarding the future, i hope we will see a return of small, simple and communicative lightweight sporty cars for the enthusiast when the automakers finish measuring their private parts in this horsepower race nonsense..

What a great review. The end is kind of sad to be fair. I love the TT, I myself have a Mk2 TTRS with the 6 speed manual, it‘s such a joy to drive. To be fair I think it‘s okay that the TT ends, because it would be a good ending. I‘m more okay with the TT being discontinued than it being transformed into an EV. Yes, I know everyone has a different opinion on that topic but for me a EV just isn‘t an option.

I have a 2017 quattro roadster in standard form and am very pleased with the performance. The only downside for me is the jiggly ride made worse on the S line with the 19inch wheels. It is not as engaging as my previous 3 Porsche Boxsters but all in all I like it

“moccasin” is The most gorgeous interior color, and should have been a standard option. Also, why didn’t they offer 20th version in TTS???

I agree, the interior really does feel special. I can only assume they chose the 45 spec engine as it more closely relates to the original 225 model car, but ultimately, who knows!

I've looked over this car in the flesh and it falls far short in many respects of being the car it should be. The TT should have been celebrated with a much better example. I love the baseball leather,I had they in my MK1, But this car should have come fully loaded. My TTS mk3 has way more kit than this 20 year edition.

Man you'd think that Audi would be more careful when making the 20th year edition. I like everything apart from the 2 tone steering wheel. It looks disgusting in that colour. If it was fully one colour it would have been better.
