Audi TT Steering Rack Gaiter / Boot Replacement - The EASY Way!
Previously: Pre MOT Test Checks On My Audi TT MK1 - At The Moment ... It's A Fail
Summer 2023 saw me buy a MK1 Audi TT Coupe. I had always liked them AND I also owned a Mk1 TT Roadster.
Sadly the seller of this car was not an honest man. Whilst it looked great on the outside (apart from a few naff mods) mechanically it had been neglected.
In the previous video, Dad gave the car a once over and noticed the Steering Rack Boot had failed. £17 later at @eurocarpartsofficial and we had a new one - www.eurocarpar...
In this video Dad and I fit the new boot in a step by step guide - it took us 30 minutes.

Yes he definitely made it look easy, as usual 😅 Expensive gaiter but at least it’s ready for the MOT, saves all the stuffing around and rebooking. Love to see the TGB, former moped owner here 😍

Ditch them locking wheel nuts mate they are a pain in the rear especially the mcguard ones twice now ive had to weld them off after a visit to the tyre place. Well done on losing 2 stone how did you do it jon.im guessing cut out the carbs l,protein diet and exercise

Absolutely. New wheel nuts now on! And I'm on the Cambridge 1:1 plan but effectively yet high protein. No carbs

A Piddle in Lidl :) - love it I worked along side a lot of Ex-Comet staff from 2012 - 2019 who were taken on at a company when they closed

@@JonCoupland I was at Comet from about 2002 to 2009/10. Ahhh, the old Monster commission. I was a master at selling the plug extension thing that ‘cleaned’ the electricity and terrestrial/satellite signal. Was it £15 or £20 commission on that? Can’t remember now 🤔
