can ProTools quantize when recording using a keyboard controller to activate the ssd? for example, if you were going to program your SSD into protools like you would a stand alone drum machine, can quantize repair timing instantly when recording one drum at a time? lest say you start with kick, then snare, then hats, fills etc.. do you have a video programing ssd into PT's? I find it frustrating to use quantize after I record the individual drums as it sometimes pushes my good hits in wrong direction. thanks!!

I don't currently have a video for that. Usually when MIDI drum hits get quantized in the wrong direction, it's either how you have your quantize grid setup or it's just the hits are too far off timing wise. Depending on your genre and drum style, I find it best to quantize on a 1/8 grid. 1/16 leaves room for too much error. However, 1/8 might not work with your drum fills so you might want to manually move those into place. Hope that helps.

why didnt you play the piece after quantising and loop and also show any levels of undo etc?

Hi! When I quantize midi, there seems to be little tiny notes overlapping the midi notes with an x through them and it cuts off the sound. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

sounds like you might have double notes being recorded. Check to make sure your controllers local control is set to off. could be other causes as well.
