He could've walked away at any time, or even just ignored them and continued filming the station. By continuing to interact with him, he's ultimately subjecting himself to this. Although the officers were overly persistent, they never forced the guy to answer questions that he's not obligated to answer. Therefore they never abused their power but were still rather unprofessional, continuing to harass the man with questions despite the man clearly not wanting to answer those questions.

This reminds me of a conversation I had with a neighbour. She had been on a visit to Cambridge accompanying, as a Church carer. a lad with learning difficulties. This lad was taking pictures of the Town Hall & was told to stop by the Police. Of course, being mentally disassociated, he laughed more and carried on clicking away with his "toy". The long & the short of it was he was arrested, handcuffed and taken away to a cell away from his carer. This lady is a very Christian, middle aged, middle class sort if that helps put this in context. She told me hours later when she was at last allowed to see this young man he was a total wreck. He had soiled himself & was delivered back to her ward in that state & literally climbing the walls. It took much time to normalise him. I said she should go to the papers or local TV with this but she never did. Cambridgeshire Police "Creating a Safer Cambridgeshire". Pull the other one. I got the impression my neighbour glimpsed behind the veil that day! Keep up this good work AB.

Blows my mind how cops are always so happy to have charges pressed on them?!? They do something against the law, you call them out on it and they say it's fine, go ahead, I don't care. THIS is what needs to change. When a person gets charged it is serious. Fines you have to pay or even jail time, we don't say I don't care. How is it not the same for a cop? Why do they not care?

AB this is hilarious and equally very sad! You perfectly turned the situation around and made them completely uncomfortable and it slowly dawned on, all be it, very slowly that they were starting to look totally stupid! The Chief Constable of Cambridge Constabulary should be totally ashamed about the behaviour of his "Officers" and make a public apology in the press about the standard of training, knowledge of basic law and for wasting time and public money.

@@bigbinji6145 what more hilarious is people actually thinks what he is doing good. When people support him , he will continue doing it . And he complains police being rude , and he never answers the question straightly which is being rude. People like him will force government to change the rules. And this guy is actually misusing his rights.

@@bigbinji6145 The laws on photography are pretty clear and have been for a number of years. Freedom to photograph and film: Members of the public and the media do not need a permit to film or photograph in public places and police have no power to stop them filming or photographing incidents or police personnel. The police chose to waste their own time talking to AB. If they had simply observed for a time they would have seen what he was doing and he would likely have left the area sooner without the interaction from the police.

Apart from being told about baldy chewing gum, while standing around with his hands in his pockets acting disrespectful. Then watching a colleague initially refuse to identify himself. Then refusing to take an actual assault complaint, then getting back with his gang buddies and waving a BIG cheerio to AB as a member of the public threatens AB in front of them.
