The attitude in general from the police currently ranges from a few ok and polite to mostly rude, ignorant, arrogant, agressive and quite often liars. Whenever anyone asks them if the police has to inform the public when they are recording, almost all say they don't have to when it clearly states in their policy that they MUST at the earliest opportunity (lie) It's getting steadily worse how rude the police are to the public, what happened to the copper that looked out for people, helped them and served them. The old saying was "if you need help or some other service, ask a bobby" Now your told to NEVER speak to the police unless you have a solicitor present, they'll only make any situation worse.

thank you for another fine audit, AB! drinking alcohol from a bottle on a town bench does lower the tone of the neighbourhood, so it isn't strange that those two ladies were against such behaviour. in a civilised society we should remember that children notice such decadence and take home a negative impression. the same with customers drinking outside a pub, but at least they use a glass - although it is still to be frowned upon. yes, these ladies should have informed when their video cameras were switched on, and should not have behaved so arrogantly when this rule was brought to their attention. you were right, of course, to admonish them.
