This painting process is just somehow so relaxing to watch. Just the relatively simple contrast and color scheme is just so satisfying to watch being laid down. Also it was nice to hear your thoughts about the process in your mind, I am always fascinated by how people come to do their pieces.

There's a quote I like, "ah! you are exactly what I have been looking for," and that has really helped me through those moments of 'ugh why is this happening to me' and if you reflect long enough, you'll always notice this is true! basically it just means you should try to find a way to look at every negative thing as a way for a positive thing to happen later on :)

Aside from adoring this piece, I also love the anecdote and revelation you shared of how less desirable events do pave the way for better things. It's something I've recognized several times in my own life, but it can be hard to always remember in a given moment. Putting out good vibes that happy things continue to come your way.

You are my favorite artist in the world. I hope you keep at it forever. I'm 18 and when I discovered you awhile back you inspired me to become a freelance artist. I know praise from a random girl on the internet doesn't matter much, but thank you for existing. As your fellow Canadian artist, I wish you all good vibes girl!

She makes me think a lot of the empress archetype in a tarot deck. I think considering the length of her arms that her hands don't actually seem all that big to me. I would say it's more like you're viewing from a lower angle so they appear larger than parts of her upper body? I can totally agree about bad/stressful things happening for a reason. I've grown so much as a person over the past several years because of the various trials that life has thrown at me and it has made some truly beautiful things happen. Thanks for sharing about the colorsheets! I like the idea of something so flat - I've found that my watercolors sometimes separate from their pans the more that my bag gets jostled around. @_@ I think you gave just enough info without it seeming too advertise-y. I think at a certain point that people need to try a product for themselves because you could go on about it all you want but if their methods aren't the same they may have a different experience? (and haha - I thought I was commenting on something from like a week ago, not a year, whoop)

When you mentioned that a Med student came up with these, I wasn't even surprised. Med students always have a good but of things with them. And at least two of those things will be heavy (unless they go paperless and use an iPad with all of the apps lol). So less weight to carry is good. And I've heard that some fields like medical require you to do reference photos or anatomical sketches. So this makes sense and is pretty cool. And if you travel a lot, one or two of these would be great.

There are some pieces of art (on social media) that just kinda stick with me, and sometimes even the rant/voiceover that kinda goes with them. This is definitely gonna stay in my head for a while. I'll try to remember the "positive things coming out of bad things" part for future reference, and I think a lot of people are going to be great full for that kind of thought process.

Beautiful as always! So inspiring, and I think it's great if you can get "endorsements" for things that you care about because it helps you and your confidence in them helps them. Artists have it tough enough so help is great so I don't think you should feel bad about it. The mentality that we do it all alone is crazy. We get help in lots of ways, we learn from others, we teach others, and it's very cyclical in my opinion.
