You'll have to re-jet your carb to compensate for more air going into the engine. I had my Ruckus re-jetted by the Honda Dealer I bought my Ruckus from.

Hi, yeah I figured as much, any extra air flowing In going to need a bit more gas as well, but probably when I get to that place I'm going to do that or delete the air box completely and then add a pipe at the same time, but she is running now and juzt completed the valve job, my ruck hasn't run right since I got her, so basically have torn it down and changed or cleaned everything, thanks for the heads up.

@@stevencourtney1965 I wouldn't delete the stock air box. During a rain storm the stock air box stays clean and dry. An air pod will soak up water that will get into your engine. There's no horsepower gain from taking out the stock air box.

K&N has an air filter for the Ruckus. Not only is the K&N a free flowing less restrictive air filter, it's also reusable. Just clean, re-oil, and use again.

If you don't get your carb re-jetted your Ruckus will bog down and sound like its about to stall out.

That’s what’s happening to mine and I just cleaned the oem filter.

hi steve, I was trying to replace my air filter, when all of the screws are removed I see oil starting to drip, hope you can give me some insights, thanks

Hi, I have heard and learned about the tube that's connected to the air filter on the outside that captures moisture oil/water, shaped like a U, if that happens to be full it will of course go into the filter and or possibly drip out when cover is removed, mine had blackish water.

@@stevencourtney1965 should I just clean it and let the excess oil drip? and replace the filter? I appreciate your help Steve, i was worried when I tried to remove the screws and oil started dripping,

@@revenge8748 I would clean everything up really good, add a fresh filter and also check your hoses, old,lose or cracks, good luck
