As a devastation main, I have to say that I am falling in love with the defensive utility this spec has. The survivability is night and day from devastation, it's no wonder it's so good for high keys

@5:25 use trinket and pot before ebon might as it gives the highest transfer of MS to your party that you will maintain for as long as possible. You only lose 2 casts worth of Int loss from trinket for FB which is made up for the massive increase to your parties damage.

Ebon might doesn't snap shot and pretty much every class in the game has a couple of globals ramp time so you're best off popping it just after eons

@@galeaggtv You are right, it does not snapshot. However it updates every 4sec. So you can lose a couple of seconds of a trinket.

@@u3pyg you never lose seconds, as if you press it then it updates 3 seconds later, you get the added duration at the back end, and gain those 3 seconds at the very last cycle What is being suggested is to use potions prior to ebon might, which means at a minimum you lose a GCD worth of int transfer Additionally to this, it's assuming your party dps hit peak dos first global on a boss Which is never true, playing with a SP you want to delay slightly until they hit their peak (after dots applied etc)

Question about the "opener" why would you want to use your pot and trinket AFTER ebon might? Doesn't ebon might scale with your int? So wouldn't you want to use your trinket to boost your int then ebon might?

Thank you ❤️ I like the idea of support roles, but we need more support specs to come into the game and for party to size to increase in my opinion if it's going to stick around. Aug is so good right now you need one if every group, and until it's either nerfed until you can't play it or its reworked, I think it will stay the same. Which just means every remaining DPS is now fighting over 2 spots in m+ instead of 3 which is really bad for the game imo

@@galeaggtv your welcome :) idk the party size in wow. To make an opinion about that. But i could make an example on what is it like in lotro though. In lotro the group size is at the max of 12 people for group content and 24 for raid content. As a lotro captain(support through leadership class) main. I can only assume that since the augmentation evoker is the support role and support is new to wow that its trying to find its place. Sorry that i could not give a full opinion about the augmentation evoker situation because as a captain main that situation never happens in lotro.

Hey, what uptime on aug for ebon might should you aim for? I saw 80% floating around, is this true?

80% is a good target right for an m+ dungeon yes, anything about 75% is acceptable, you need to keep in mind mastery massively affects this though 👍

Expect 80% in raid. Keys will naturally be less, especially this week with spiteful. Anything above 70% is honestly fine.

For the rescue macro, is there a way to get it to cast at mouseover, instead of manually entering a name each group?

No you can't auto target a player and your mouse at the same time, you will need to manually select a target for that

Subcreation has most of the top guys using Dracothyst arm gaurds and Sporecloak, its not top top dps but it really does favor the role more with the stat procs.

That's not because it's the best craft, it's because it's bis for devastation, so they crafted that embellished piece before aug was released

@@galeaggtvbis for pres too. I used it for ages coming from being a pres main myself, but using hailstone is big extra damage. I honestly don’t even use sporecloak much. It’s great, but sporecloak and treads feels meh. Still slowed and doing a lot less damage with it. I’d rather just use a different embellishment entirely at that point.

I was wondering something. I know treads are the best and I love their damage, but the slow is really starting to get to me. Reclearing mythic rashok was legit annoying because dodging lava was actually hard when I’m that slow. Also getting out of the swirlie knockup on third boss of underrot is hard when in that slow. There’s other examples I can’t think of too, but it’s generally very annoying. Do you think double shadowflame would be my next best option? Are there any others that make sense? How are blue silken linings for extra shifting sands damage?

Adaptive armguards are better than the boots btw. Nobody uses the boots or shadowflame patch in high keys

Not true at all, people use armguards because theyre bis for devastation and they want to play both specs, nothing to do with how good it is for Evoker And as for the patch, literally the R1 Evoker uses the shadowflame patch from Taiwan, Goop uses the patch too

@@galeaggtv i'll stick with my armguards. As it says on the Aug discord, all of the reccomended gear is a "Very rough guesstimate" plus I play Dev as well. In the grand scheme of things it makes little impact, in fact less than a racial would. Not worth min-maxing unless you are in the world top 1%

Small adidtion to complement what you said : - Fire breath at max is a must whatever the situation. A tiny chance to get a healing off of your mates is another chance of essence burst. - Ancient flame is a must as it basically let you cast a heal and not lose too much cast time to fish the next essence burst. If you ever wish to gain a point remove those 4s on fire breath... - Use Hover, all the time, as augmentation the uptime is insane and allow you to totally ignore azure strike for movement, while also providing a constant buff to speed for your nearby mates.

This is all wrong 1) No its not, you often cannot get the healing affect, watch TGP right now I've just watched splat in a +30 use r1 fire breaths on every single boss 2) Its absolutely not a must, every top player drops this for more CC just look at raider.io 3) You cannot have hover all the time, it has a 50% uptime if you spam it, you can use it liberally, but on certain bosses you need to be careful with uses or else you won't have it when you need it

*UNBELIEVABLE MASTR GUIDE? he missed the major combo talent nodes= 12 seconds of combo cc's! & every 30-45 seconds can do a 6 second aoe stun! blows my mind???? Aoe stun a entire mob group almost every pull in the dungeon or every other pull!!.... nodes u need. -EVOKER talents-reduced LANDSLIDE by 30secounds + oppressive roar + azurite strike hits 2 targets - GO to augment tree pick up 2 points into upheaval Combo'd with landslide will STUN 4 SECOUNDS if used after using upheaval -node that reduces landslide cd by 1 second every time use azurite strike+ azurite strike node that has a chance to echo and hit the targets again double dip in the lands slide cd reduction. -"rotation" first -oppressive roar 50% cc's ->upheaval-->landline 4sec stun (oppressive buff applied) instead 6 second aoe stun how do we reduce combo to 30sec-45sec? azurite talents will be spammed instead of livening flame that will significantly reduce the combo. second insane!!!

I think it is up to personal preference. If your group already has lots of stuns. Why would you take one more aoe stun? Oppressive roar I never liked with randoms. Also most comps have slow /root so reduced CD on landslide doesn't seem that attractive
