Not only did you see and hear the pure emotion in Jake's voice during the slow bit of Beauty in Tragedy, but if you watch, every single mosher was standing still either hands in the air or standing still in awe of such a beautiful bit. Granted, it's not exactly the most mosh-conducive area of the song, but still. I know Wacken isn't exactly filled with Christians (not being judgemental, I just couldn't think of a way to word that) but it's awesome that regardless of faith, they can hear and relate with these guys' music. I think that's the advantage to ABR's ministry: they're not preachy thus both believers and non-believers can relate. On a side note, I noticed that Jake seems to do unbelievably better with his lows than highs live, which is odd considering he uses highs more nowadays on the albums. On another side note, it's good to hear not every American/Brit who performs at Wacken pronounces it as it's spelled instead of the way it's meant to be pronounced. :P EDIT: Also, I have to add that it's just epic how he flips the mic during Spirit Breaker those couple times, it adds a lot of power and sheer awesomeness to the performance.

This was my first time seeing ABR live and i had been a huge fan for years. I was so bleeding excited! But again, the sound at wacken is absolutely atrocious. A complete and utter shambles. I cannot fathom why after 30 years, wacken can not get their shit together. But i guess they couldnt care less. Their pockets are filled every year and they are happy campers. Well, im not giving them another penny. If there was any justice in this world, nobody else would either.

The sound at the festival itself is probably alright, it's the video audio mix engineer in a van backstage somewhere doing a terrible job. Hence why dustin seems happy the first time you can't hear him in his microphone. The fault isn't with the FOH engineer, it's with the tv mixdown engineer.
