Ok ok, imma set this straight, I am a Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology major and I work in a lab. There are only 20 amino acids (what she is calling peptides), it is not possible for there to be another one. The way your body makes proteins is by transcribing your DNA (that is composed of different base pairs, ATGC) into mRNA. This mRNA is then translated into protein. They way this works is that every 3 base pairs is read together and is known as a codon. These codons are what code dor different amino acids. Basically there are a finite amount of codons that exist that code for amino acids and we know what all of them code for. This is 100% a lie and completely false Also, Sodium Phenylbutyrate's chemical formula is C10H11NaO2, the formula she shows is sodium, phosphorus, and Boron and literally doesn't exist. Aaaand no, that is absolutely not an amino acid, A. They have nitrogen, B. No Hydroxide group and C. No carboxyl group, this is so sad.

As a person who is involved in treating people with cancer, I love and I hate this type of content. I love cringe, but there are too many cases where people have listened to bullshit like this, believed it and missed the moment where they could've been successfully treated. And this is enraging, to be honest.

My mother passed from cancer last August. A guy my husband worked with was given only months. He went to duke and did stem cells but did something with them first and he survived. Wanted my mom to try after she couldn't do chemo but she was too sick by then and couldn't make the trip. The pharmacy said she was refilling her inhaler too soon and had to wait until the next day. She couldn't breathe without it and collapsed. She was rushed to the hospital and they blamed the chemo affecting her breathing. But it wasn't that it was the pharmacy not wanting to fill her inhaler one day early. We told the doctor but he refused and blamed the chemo and wouldn't do it anymore. She was on chemo for months and doing fine. The breathing didn't happen until the pharmacy refused to fill her inhaler one day too soon and made her wait until the next day. Ridiculous.

If the whole conspiracy theory only works because of America's messed up health care system, just take a damn look at countries with universal health care! Like, I live in Denmark, and if this pill really worked, don't you think this government would rather just give patients that and get them back to tax paying status, as quickly as possible in stead of paying for the chemo, the hospital stays, the everything!? I lost my grandmother to breast cancer in 2005 and my dad to lung cancer in 2004. This shit frustrates me so much. Just LOOK at other countries!! The US is not the damn world.

I think this lady is delusional. However, for the sake of discussion, I think it would be interesting to point out one case where "hiding the cure for cancer" would be more profitable than the cure itself, but this is the only one I can think of: This Industry of Cancer Charity predominantly the commercialization of the search for the cure (especially the pink support merch) These organizations campaign for the cure for cancer, but if the cure for cancer was discovered their business model would suffer. An interesting conundrum that I find fascinating, though unsure of the wider implications. Thoughts? I am legitimately curious to hear people's take on this angle.

Cancer is 600 hundred separate diseases with complex pathologies, some of which we do have cures for, many have effective treatments, and at least one has a vaccine. The reason we haven't "cured" cancer as a whole yet as a whole is because cancer is an inevitable consequence of our biology if you live long enough and don't die of something else first cancer will be something you have to deal with eventually. We will probably get there one day though, there are breakthroughs all the time and people don't usually like dying.

I'm literally losing my mind over the flaws/gaps in her argument that have no basis or logic. First all of, you don't study to get your phD in medical school, it is MD or DO and if you tag a phD onto that, it is STILL called an MD-phD degree. Which says to me she doesn't know the difference between Doctor of Medicine vs Doctor of Philosophy. Yes, there's roughly 20 essential Amino Acids that make up the human body, but there's hundreds of Amino Acids in general. Also, there's thousands of 'peptides' and they are simply 'what makes up a protein' which is almost entirely unrelated to cancer in itself. There are numerous ways cancer is caused and it's so extensive that we have cancer specialists. Our own cells can cause cancerous cells and tissues that our body naturally destroys. CERTAIN peptides can target cancer cell membranes and induce cell death, but these are NOT the same peptides that are the building blocks of protein DNA... As in, the only part she isn't totally wrong about is that 'peptides' have been somewhat successful as a form of cancer treatment, but it by no means cures cancer nor is 100% successful/effective at it. Most of the articles I found over it are outdated. I think it is both insensitive and counterproductive to misinform people the way she is. She doesn't even have a strong, well researched, completed argument, she's just spitting out info she is fuming over. Spreading information about cancer treatment through peptides would have been more beneficial to herself and the general public... yet here we are. 🤦🤷

So I checked the cost of this doctor's treatment. 28k for the first month then 16k every month after that for a year. You don't just take one pill and your done. Also insurance won't cover a dime. I know out of pocket expenses after ins for chemo is outrageous but at least insurance will pick up the bulk of the treatment.

6:40 you ain't lying August about the cost. I've been going through chemo for almost 3 years now, have another year to go, and if I had to pay for the treatment myself, I'd be sitting at $1.7 million in costs in NWA. The VA and Medicaid is paying for it all, but if there was a one and done cure like she claims, the government would jump on it in a heartbeat to save themselves from paying.

I feel like the problem with this is that those people don’t understand that cancer is not a disease you catch like a cold or the flu for example, but an inability to correctly form or duplicate a cell, usually formed by damage in your DNA (which can also have multiple reasons as to why it happened [and yes, this is very broken down for simplification reasons]), which cannot be treated with medicine but with more innovative methods: e.x. mRNA vaccination for people with NHL, still researched antibody treatment methods, and so on. This is basically your own body trying to hurt itself, so it is much more difficult to preserve your functioning cells and your body and fight cancer. People are just not educated enough to understand this and come up with wiiild theories since that’s what their brains can comprehend (they have access to research, they could educate themselves better), chemo also doesn’t fight cancer but slows down your cell division so a) doctors gain more time with treating the patient, and b) radiation therapy can work more effectively as cancer won’t spread so quickly due to the chemo and you can focus on where the cancer sits (again, this is very broken down but hopefully it helps just one person a little better to understand how difficult and how many aspects come into treating cancer, and why it is so difficult)

Yeah when i got diagnosed my father told me not to take the chemo because nobody ever got better from it. The only reason i am still alive today is because i took the chemo and radio therapy. Don't listen to idiots. See a real doctor if something seems wrong. Even then, don't just trust any doctor. It took me 8 months of trying to convince 4 different doctors to please open up the giant lump in my neck. One of them guaranteed me it could not be cancer, but i was right in the end. Fun fact: Some idiot nurse put in the iv wrong and the chemo poured into my arm. It swole up and turned purple. I told her to take it out and she said there was nothing wrong. Had to get real angry before they took it out. Never expect someone knows what they are doing. I think god wants me dead lmao
