Aurora is an artist that doesn't want to sing a song, she actively wants to bring you on a journey with her.

@Anaximander29A3 жыл бұрын
I am convinced that you can't write or perform like that if you're not an absolute genius. The part from 5:00 to 6:00 is just mind blowing. Music is like breathing to her.
@avedic3 жыл бұрын
The way she sings the word "All" on the line "All that I know...." When the instruments drop out and it's just her pristine clear crystaline pure voice singing that high note. Good lord....it nearly makes me cry every time. Something about that note, sung that way, hits me DEEP. It's like coming out of the fog of depression and being struck by the profound poignant beauty of a clear glacial blue sky.

Nice reaction. Aurora is like no other and I don’t know why she doesn’t get the recognition she deserves. Her live stuff more often than not are better than the studio version. Every song will take you on a different journey. ‘Through the eyes of a child” UK VEVO lift stripped ….this still gives me goosebumps. ‘Infections of a Different Kind” at HAIK is so so beautiful. ‘Soft Universe” at Nidarosdomen is fun and up beat. ‘It happened quiet” live at the current is mesmerizing. I have been listening to her for 6 years. No bad songs anywhere. Enjoy your ride!

She's indeed a magical faerie. She's so connected with her body and voice and obviously her spirit as well as if she's summoning elder gods with each note but with such a healing vibe surrounding it all. Hope I can see her live at some point.

Aurora is ethereal. Simultaneously otherworldly and the most one-with-nature kind of artist. I literally haven't heard a song of hers that hasn't touched me in some special way. I hope you'll watch more, because she has so very much to offer.

I haven't even listened to this reaction yet. I'm a 50 year old, pretty hardcore 80's Heavy Metal and 70's Hard and Classic Rock kinda guy. I came across Aurora about a year ago here on KZbin and she has literally changed my life in a way. I've never heard anything like her and I've heard quite a bit. So, I'm going to now watch what's going to be a great reaction! Before I go, this is quite the rabbit hole. Aurora brings forth feelings of things that are really hard to put into words. I suggest you do more of her reactions. I prefer here 'live' stuff, but there are some of her songs that I prefer the music video by. Those would be "Exist for Love" "Queendom" and her new one "Cure for Me". Also "Apple Tree". I'm sure I might be missing a couple here and there, but her live stuff is so captivating! The concerts at KEXP, that your reacting to right now and also Live In Nidarosdomen, these two are GREAT, especially the latter, she performs in an old, grand, cathedral, with an all-male choir.......it's unbelievable honestly..... Ok.....off to the reaction!
@ebinwu34183 жыл бұрын
I think you would absolutely love her live performance of "Soulless Creatures" at Bergen. She's one of those rare performers that sorta weaves a spell, instead of just singing in front of a bunch of backup dancers and pyrotechnics. Her official videos are always incredibly creative and wondrous , but with her especially, I've found that it's always best to watch her live performances first.

Aurora has only two songs that are in the pop/chart music category: "Animal" and the newly released "cure for me." Usually she's much more experimental sonically, like she was in this song. The depth of her lyrics matches the ambition of the different soundscapes she creates. If you want to, there would be a lot more to discover from the well that is music by Aurora.

She is magical. She has tons of great stuff. One of the most magical performances of Aurora is Aurora - Warrior (HAIK). She gives a very personal concert where Aurora is introduced to new musicians whom she has an hour to practice with before the mini concert. It is amazing and a beautiful take on the original song.

Thanks for that reaction :) I just got my tickets to see her live in a month for the first time, looking forward to it alot. More coffees from me will be incoming soon. Aurora is one of those artists for me at least that has it all. Music, stage presence, lyrics, poetry, message and a general charisma. From this song, I really love the line "we can save what is pure, if our hearts can collide". This was my favorite song/performance for a long time. I really like her livestreams with just her and the piano as well. Looking forward to listening to more Aurora with you! Tom

Aurora started playing music and writing songs (in Norwegian) when she was 6, and then in English when she was 9. She is a singer, songwriter, composer and producer. Her live performances are extraordinary. She is what you call a true empath, very close to nature and down to earth, highly talented and highly intelligent, always positive and funny. She really does talk to their fans, whom she calls warriors and wierdos. She is an absolute free spirit. Aurora's movements are partly not rehearsed in her concerts. She is introverted and she shows her feelings through involuntary body movements. She hates backtracks and, that's why she has a backround singer. Everything about her and her music is real. You get what you see, whether on stage or elsewhere. Billie Eilish, she started her career because of Aurora. Her song "Runaway" was the trigger. Next pls, if you like Murder Song 5,4,3,2,1 by Aurora live Nobel Peace Prize Concert. A song about Euthanasia. Absolutely stunning performance.

Thank you for a lovely reaction. I have a feeling you'll find many AURORA songs/performances you'll enjoy if you venture further into her catalogue. It's well worth checking the lyrics of her songs before or after listening to her perform them, as they are like poetry and tend to have deep meanings that can be interpreted in different ways.

I agree with justjulie44 in an other comment. Try some more of Aurora. This song is perhaps not the best one to start of with. Aurora is together with Angelina the only music I need these days. first of all..... before I start the song..... gotta give a shout out to that hair..... I'm an old white boy so I can't go too nuts saying yay to your hair without being creepy but toeing the line ok? ok, now we can play the song..... Aurora is so girly... but such and old soul... at the same time.... like an optical illusion... such groovy harmonies... like wind in the woods. I love her use of discordant sounds.... as though someone really played the wrong note at a bad time but super beautifully yanno? so playfully weird in just the best way possible.... I can't decide whether I'd like to play make-believe with her like a 4 year old or drop acid and dance around in the forest naked in moonlight.
