Did y'all know that the audio they used is the very first recording Aurora did of this song years ago? She loved the first recording so much that she wanted to keep it. And also this whole set was filmed during quarantine and it was fully done by Aurora and her sister.. the two backup dancers are Aurora's friends. Aurora spent weeks picking off pearls from clothes in her wardrobe to create the headpiece. everything is just so stunningly full of intention

Fun fact: Aurora wrote this back in 2017 but did not think the time was right to release it then. But now with the corona crisis she was thinking that what the world needs right now is a love song. So this is for all of us

It feels like Aurora always writes about the bigger picture, about the earth, nature, and she always comforts us or teaches a lesson. But this is different, this is personal it seems like we're reading a love letter from her to her lover. It's so beautiful

You’re right, the song totally feels like it ebbs and flows like the ocean. The song and the mv are just about the most beautiful, dreamy, intimate things I’ve ever experienced. It really does just sweep you away~

One of my favorites from Aurora. Such a wonderful song that leaves the listener relaxed and joyful. And I love the nod to Leonard Cohen with her lyric: "We are leaning out for love; And we will lean for love forever." It's a play on the lyrics from Leonard Cohen's song Suzanne, which is my second favorite song of all time. Cohen's lyric is: "They are leaning out for love and they will lean that way forever."

Man, how you said she's so connected to the earth and so connected with human beings just hits the nail right on the head. That is amazing insight and so true. She is so empathetic and loving. Also the blurring of the eyes, being drunk with love. I wouldn't have even thought of that. You are truly thoughtful and insightful, it's amazing.

To my British friends - I read that Vera Lynn has died at the age of 103 years old. The voice that comforted people enduring fighting the fascism we all endured This song - it is our time. And I think - in 30 years time, a new "Pink Floyd" will ask the question "does anybody remembers Vera Lynn?" in a rare moment of music again

I feel so much disconnection but Aurora helps connect me back in. As for this song... I'm a 100% hetero man but all I could ever dream of is to have someone like Aurora, to lay my head in her lap, get some comfort. While I'm not particularly not-macho I still feel upon the culture every now and again. All these roles we are supposed to fit in, and the judgement when you don't... Like... why should I carry the burden all the time? I'm not invlunerable... why should I have to act like I am? I don't always want to be strong. The song is so soothing because that's what we all need - someone who exist for love. Just want some to see me for me, you know. And not for some preconception of what they think someone should be.

I love your reactions, dude. You're always so accurate in your commetary. When you make an observation, I can immediately see what you're on about, even if I hadn't made the connection myself. I wonder, would you consider looking into a japanese group called Babymetal? They're a bit of an acquired taste for some, but with your appreciation for the little details, I think there's a lot in their music you'd enjoy. Next to Aurora, they're the only other artist who routinely makes me cry, and along with Aurora, they're the only band that I can't honestly say they have a bad song. They play all different styles of metal and mix in pop, hip hop, EDM and Idol music. If you'd be kind enough to look into them I can recommend these songs to begin with: Megitsune: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hobOq6hnfq-Katk Ijime, Dame, Zettai: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKCQkJaYm8mlj6c Akatsuki: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWOWaGV5arV9gq8

Sometimes this song is really painful for mel. I live alone. Two of my ex-partners were narzists. Both of them hit me and also hurt me with words and suppressive behavior. My family lives in another federal state. Most of my friends are in a partnership, married or have children. So they don´t have as much time as before. Often I feel very lonely. Sometimes I just need a hug. I just want to go for a walk - but not alone.

This song is about feminism (she starts by saying *they say there is a war between the man and the woman*), as if women exist ONLY for love, the only purpose or reason for women is to love.It could also be interpreted by possessions that is why she is a pearl, luxury , how it's fake love. She is exaggerating all the feelings... let's you think. The oyster visual is a reminder of THE BIRTH OF VENUS (famous painting by sandro botticelli, 1480) and could also refer to a mermaid which is obviously beautiful BUT extremely dangerous and powerful , that is also why you sort of feel the waves as you say . She also refers to gay rights when saying (i can't imagine how it is to be forbidden from loving). She is so clever , sugarcoating such a problem as if it is meant to be.....Anyway love your reactions, keep it going.

not sure i agree Lia, but her songs can have layers beyond me but if we go by what she has said herself : "I feel like the world is going through change, and yet again we are reminded of the importance of love. And how much love we are capable of giving back to the world. I think when we get to experience love, in any shape or color we understand why we exist, we exist for love". -AURORA
