Aurora is a singer, songwriter, composer and producer. So yes she wrote this song, as well as all the others she sings apart from various covers. She never wanted to sing herself, actually just write. It is thanks to one of her friends and her mother that we are able to experience her today. She starts with music at the age of 6. Then she found a piano in the attic. Her sister's. At the age of 9, the words were added. That's when she wrote her first song "Lucky". An anti-suicide/depression song. She kept her talent secret until 15. Not even her parents knew. She sang for the first time in a school performance. This was filmed by a friend and published without her consent. A record company became aware of her and came to her with an offer that she refused because she did not want to be known and it was uncomfortable for her as an introvert. She told her mother and she convinced her. Aurora's music seemed like medicine to her mother and it would be selfish not to share it with the world. That's how it all started. Sidenote... Billie Elish started her career thanks to this song by Aurora. Aurora - Lucky live Niderosdomen kzbin.info/www/bejne/d563mqSIZ8SJd9k

She is great and natural artist. Love her music. For sure she was very nervous in this performance, but still she was so much into the song and performance and her voice and singing was fantastic. And I agree that these movements and expressions are a way of natural expressing her emotions. This particular song she wrote when was 11. She has many great songs but for next would recommend "Lucky" live from Nidarosdomen (cathedral), for me it is great as a whole concert there. BTW: she started writing Lucky when she was 9 :). If you will check/listen what the song is about it is mind blowing for such a age.

6:45 such a wonderful comment because Aurora is ALL energy. She wrote this at 10 years old thus making the lyrics even more powerful. Aurora is all about nature and being yourself free from worry or shame of what others might think of you. Every single live performance is immensely expensive but she literally goes to another place when she performs. She feels every emotion of the particular song she is singing and is in the song itself (playing the part). This is the first time I've seen your channel but if your looking for more suggestions: Warrior Live at Halk Through the eyes of a child Live at Nidarosdomen Murder song 54321 Live Noble Peace Prize Lucky Live at Nidarosdomen The Seed Live or original video ✌️❤️🌏⚖️🙏♾️

Aurora (Aurora Aksnes) 26 from Norway. Currently on World tour. She wrote this song at either age 9 or 11. She released her latest album (The Gods We Can Touch) earlier this year. A true talent and a wonderful person. I hope you listen to more of her live performances. She has a huge catalog of songs. She was the voice of the spirit in the Disney Frozen 2 movie song "Into the Unknown" Aurora, in an interview, said she was frightened and nervous during this performance at the beginning of her career. She never planned on being an artist. She was approached by a management company after someone posted a video on social media of Aurora singing at her school at age 16 I think.
@cptchaotic2 жыл бұрын
You said that she looks very relaxed when she sings. After watching this video and her video AURORA - MURDER SONG (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert I think she is so relaxed because she doesn't seem to notice the audience is there. To me it looks like it's just her and the song. Like once she starts singing, she is the music. She is living out the song in her own little world that we get to watch from a safe distance.

The hand motions are not planned or practiced, they are natural expressions that come with the song. When she first was discovered after her first recorded performance someone suggested she stop moving her hand because they were distracting to the listener. She said she didnt even realize she was doing it. She tried to stop but felt it negatively impacted her performance. Hello and thank you for this fine reaction to AURORA. She will pull you into every song and captivate you. AURORA (Aurora Aksnes) was born on June 15, 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is a singer, songwriter and producer. AURORA's songs always have a strong message. Often the messages are not very clear either. They can be interpreted so that many people can relate them to themselves. Her movements when singing are extraordinary. This isn't a dance. This is her special way of expression. You can also say that she sings with her whole body. Her excellent music, her brilliant voice and her movements. AURORA's live performances are a total work of art. She is often so into the song that she shakes her body or head uncontrollably (--> Murder song, It happened quiet) and need 2-3 seconds to come back. She is capable of transporting feelings because she allows a look into her soul. Her fans call themselves warriors and weirdos. AURORA once said: People tend to believe quite quickly that something is wrong with them if they're not like the people they see in front of them It's so sad that it doesn't take much for us to really doubt ourselves She was a teen when she answered the question "are some of your songs related (on different albums)?" - it will all make sense when I have finished. - Through The Eyes Of a Child (Live at Nidarosdomen) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJSqaq2Kr9icqac - she sang in norway's biggest cathedral - phenomenal acoustics - Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJmThIqKi9yLrtk - the saddest love song I've ever heard - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4aQf2mCpt-Xf68 - it's about the rape of a woman - some say - these great harmonies - Lucky (Live at Nidarosdomen) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/d563mqSIZ8SJd9k - the song is her way of suicide prevention - The Seed (Official Video - VEVO) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/lX7GkIKDatSBd5o - it's about the climat change I usually prefer her live performances. But in these cases the VEVO video is more impressive. I hope you enjoy AURORA. Have a nice day and Greetings from Germany

I believe aurora moves as she does ,and she does so whenever she sings , because she is completely ‘ in character,as is said of actors. She’s is transported by the music and the lyric, both of which she wrote. Many great singers/musicians move similarly. In opera it is said of all the great singers that not only are they spectacular singers they are also great actors. Being completely absorbed so that you are no longer aware of the audience means you are in the grove . You see it in classical music all the time whether pianist, violinist, etc. all demonstrate this characteristic in one form or another. In Aurora’s case it is also because she can’t help herself. And of course she shouldn’t. …And she’s a wood nymph. ‘

Aurora was actually very nervous here, but she handles it in her unique way by completely immersing herself in the music, so she does not see all the 8000 people watching her. You are SPOT ON when you say her movement are involuntary, and that she has too much energy. Here are quotes from her about exactly that from interviews later in her career: youtu . be / BNIUD9f4Szk&t=5m11s - I really love your music, but seeing you live was really a big draw for me, you are very physical live, and you almost seem to transform yourself when you sing, when you can feel it. - Aurora: I know I use my hands a lot. I didn't know in the beginning that I did, and when I watched a video of myself for the first time, by mistake and I will never do that again I swear to myself, I was very terrified. I look like I'm possessed. - It is very endearing, and it's very authentic....It just seems very natural. - Aurora: It feels nice, I think it is necessary. It's kind of like being asleep having a very strange dream, and you do things without even knowing it, and it would look very strange from the outside. I have so many emotions and opinions and words inside this tiny body, and I think every time I get the chance to get them out, and there is only like...and they all have to come out this tiny mouth, and I guess I just have to use every tool I have to help like the emotions come out alive my body I guess. youtu . be / gWa68W9sUC4&t=26m7s "I think it took me about 2 years to enjoy being on stage.....cause it is not a natural thing for me to..., I dunno, the attention thing is very strange" 26:40 "...because I have so much energy when I sing, and I can feel like, you know. It comes from like a different place, like from the place of music, if it's....you know, this divine place. I get like, I get too much energy for my tiny human shape." As you can see from that quote she did not enjoy performing back here in the first 2 years of her career, she did not plan to be a singer, just wanted to write and compose music. But she learned to enjoy it later. Her real name is actually Aurora Aksnes, and she just turned 26 recently in June 2022 (she was 19.5 in this performance), and she already has 3 full albums and 2 EPs out, and yes many of her fans think she is some kind of fairy or Mother Nature, you picked up on that immediately 🙂 She is very much in the fight against climate change with her music, and she joined COP26 with a performance and a panel discussion.
