Not only does she write her own stuff (and has been doing it since she was SIX YEAR OLD), but she also produces too. Aurora's a genuine PHENOMENON.

And all the lyrics have a message, often deep one, except 2 songs she wrote from dreams, and one of them even has a message.

Not to take anything away from her but to be fair to the other writers/musicians, multiple people write most of her songs. 15 or more song writers, if I remember correctly, on this album alone. Not to mention all the other musicians, producers, engineers, ect involved. You can find this info, and their names, in the credits for each song publicly.

@@EnervatedSociety On her recent album, from what she has said, she had some real co-writing songs like with Chris Greatti and Tom Rowlands from The Chemical Brothers and Ane Brun. But back here with Step 1 and Step 2 it was mostly her alone according to these quotes from her from different interviews: "- Is Infections Of A Different Kind the only song on the album that you wrote alone? A: Even though there are names on the credits, because even if you are in the room you still get your name as a writer on the song, because everything/everyone affects the song, I do all my melodies and the lyrics myself for all my songs. Because I'm quite selfish and I know what I want. It is a really personal thing, that is why I like to do the lyrics myself, because I don't want people to know what they are about. I want them to have the same experience than anyone else. It is an all-new experience singing the songs, when you write them yourself." "- Many of your new songs credits other people as lyricists alongside yourself, for example Sacha Skarbek in It Happened Quiet. How much of an input did these people have in the lyrics of your songs? A: People have little to almost no credit in my melodies and words! Just because I always know what I need to write about. And how I need it to sound. But sometimes you make a song in a room together, and then you divide the credit on all beings in the room. Cause everything affects the results. Energies and vibes." Regarding the song Animal: "I wrote the lyrics during one of my travels, and I went to a studio in LA to write with a lovely man who came 4 hours late to the session because of traffic, and I'd almost finished the song by then, and he made a very short but nice comment for a lyrical change, and then went into the other room to play pool."

She is a true artist, she can sing, play a piano (and some instruments), paint and dancing, she is so talented, she is an angel. You will surprise by her, every her album is different and she creates all her music. Also she is a best singer for live performance.

thanks for reacting to this song, it's an important topic. her newest album release is stunning. one of her co-authors is nature, means royalties goes to 'sounds right', a project of the museum for the united nations. she is a force of nature. she is very versatile and flips song arrangements to it's opposite, if she want. you will be amazed by her art of covering songs. but of cause she has plenty of her own material and that is so much more interesting.

Cool 😊.Writes her own songs, and started writing in secret as therapy for herself. Music at 6 or 7, and lyrics at 9. Started writing her biggest hit "Runaway" at 11. Great artist, and amazing live. She has several environmental songs, but this one is the most "in your face". Early on her songs were darker and more introverted, but she's constantly evolving. A lot of must see performances, but I'll mention just one. "Murder song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)" from the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. Very different from this, but highly recommended. One of her darker ones.

Here is a quote from Aurora about The Seed: ""I'm missing anger in the youth. Not the blind rage, pointed towards all and nothing. But the kind of rage that wakes you up in the morning, the kind of rage that inspires you to do something with the power you have in you. So I made a song. Filled with fire. And power. It's time for us to really fight for her. This is a cry for Mother Earth."" She has 2 more climate songs. Apple Tree: "'Apple Tree' is about the potential that hides in all of us. We can all save the world if we put our minds to it. The world won't listen to scientific proof that the world is dying, so maybe it will listen to the dreamers, the children. In a bleeding world, the power of the individual is our only hope. Let her save the world. Let him save them all. Believe in us, and maybe we'll be the generation that saves the world, rather than the one that killed it." and Exhale Inhale: "It's an important song for me. It is about the fear of the great disasters that await us, and the feeling that can overwhelm us that it is all too big and overwhelming, that we can no longer avert the disaster. I see that paralysis around me, in many young people. And not only with regard to the climate problem, but also in social interaction with each other. Also when you see that a friend of yours is in trouble, if someone is in mental distress, you must intervene. Even if you think it's too late. It is not. We will have to overcome our fear of the irreversible."

Great to see you coming around to Aurora, Millie! If you want to see more on this subject matter, her live performance of "Exhale Inhale" at Vevo is an absolute brilliant work of art, despite being live. She's different.

She writes all her songs and always producing them ofc with others. This is art for her, and she is making them from scratch, not only writing it. She also makes a whole book to each album and paints a lot to get inspiration. She is one of a kind, I dont think you will ever find someone this authentic. She see what's wrong with the world and point it out, she never make anything meaningless about heartbreak and stuff and always about the planet and humans, not so much about herself. She is really amazing.. no one is like her She also produces all her music videoes with help from others but she always has a clear image of what she want. That's also why it is a struggle for her to make music with others, sometimes, or more before. I think she has learnt how to let others also touch her art but very lightly. She said, "It is hard when no one is in your head." she has so much passion and love. Her mind Is incredible. Watch some documentary or interviews and you can understand why her music is so fantastic

Actually she is my favorite artist from some time. I feel her music. Of course it depends to you amazing taste, but so far I love all her songs :). And yes she write her songs. She also produce and/or coproduce and she is involved in every aspect of her Art. Amazing and unique artist and a person. For sure she is worth to check more deeply and checking what you get from her music and art (depending of our music taste). I also love her lyrics. Poetic about not trivial things and open for interpretation.

Aurora writes, produces, and performs her own music. Everything you check out from her will captivate you. (Queendom, everything from the Nobel Peace Prize concert, her live covers of Bowie's Life on Mars, The Beatles Across The Universe, Imagine Dragons... and on and on. She is a genius, an artistic wonder, and a warrior for all that is good in the world. As I've often said, Aurora is the Fifth Element and she must be protected at all costs.

She is an amazing performer and you definitely need to see her live performances. She channels all the music and feels everything she sings. Please check out “Murder song 5-4-3-2-1” live at the Nobel Peace prize concert 2015. Has to be that version not the recorded. Also “Through the eyes of a child” also has to be the live version at the Nidarosdomen cathedral.

Yes, Aurora writes all her own music, although she has done some excellent covers. Please see some of the live performances of this song. Aurora, is one of those artists, who's live performances are often better than the studio versions. Here new album, What Happened to the Heart, is all on this theme. I'm a long time environmentalist and climate activist, Aurora is completely on message with this, and many other social issues.

For some reason I thought you already had reacted to some Aurora's songs before. I guess I watched your reaction videos to Korn some time ago (or could have been Pantera, especially the song you did), but whatever. Her studio work is very well crafted, chiseled I should even say, as she seems to pay attention to the smallest details (her nerd side I imagine). But personally I enjoy even more the freedom and the spontaneity she has in her live performances, when she just artistically lives the present. In exemple, here are 3 live versions of this song, sounding quite differently, to watch privately if you wish: Aurora - "The Seed" Live Performance | Vevo: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZWZlnRnorKeoKs , when she remains sad and pleading, 20191123 - AURORA - HAIK, The Seed, Full HD with CCs (5/7): kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJSZnYSrortgf5I , when she doesn't, AURORA - The Seed (Live in Bergen 2020): kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYGTqnejoJussKs , when she goes symphonic. At some point, check out this one, in acoustic set up: Aurora | Queendom | Loustic Sessions: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q36biKScq5p9rZo Anyway, thanks for this nice reaction to Aurora, this gorgeous voice of Mother Earth.🙂👍
