Hi John.. You have to give it to the old timers...They either road a horse 🐴 or walked the area weeks or months on end then panned or sieved to look for gold..!!!.. They all deserved to find gold..!! As you can appreciate being a professional gold prospector how bloody hard it is to find gold in virgin ground..! Love that nugget you found...!Hope you poured a bit of Beer on the ground for the old timer that left his old dry blowing hill behind for you to find..! Cheers Tony.👍🍺⛏

G'day Tony. Always a pleasure to read your comments. You hit the nail on the head mate.... those Old boys really did it tough, and weren't they were smart. How they achieved what they did with rudimentary tools and equipment is a real testament to their initiative, determination and endurance. I'll raise a glass to him for sure. Regards John

Its funny i also under estimate how heavy the nuggets are myself. Nice find mate. My last one was 119 grams ,though when i pulled it out i thought it was maybe 50 grams at most.

Love your vids. When you were using your 5000 did you ever find large deep nuggets in fine gold mode? I have found a 10.8g at about 40cms - very faint signal. I've read that large deep nuggets disappear on fine gold setting. I detect around Cue and meeka so i run in fine gold all the time. Im having thoughts of whether I maybe walking over larger nuggets?
@AussieBlokeProspector6 жыл бұрын
Of course settings play an important part on your level of success, but there are many OTHER factors that can determine whether you hear or miss a target, regardless of it's size. Fine Gold always worked well for me. Regards Aussie
