BudgetBugout could u make a video where u compare the three new moras so the eldris, the garberg and the kansbol (if possible before Christmas 😉). And could u go more in the detail when explaining if for u the kansbol is a god knife or if u would step up the game to the garberg! That d be awesome, Moritz (germany,15)
@lino51678 жыл бұрын
Hey Momo, Javier here from Argentina. I don't think BudgetBugout will put up that video in the timeframe that you required, but if you're torn between the Kansbol and the Garberg you might want to check the video that Everydaytacticalvids did on the Mora 2000 vs the Bushcraft. Think of the Kansbol as an updated version of the 2000 and the Garberg as a stainless batoning apt version of the bushcraft. I would go for the Garberg in my opinion, because of the grind, the Garberg has a complete scandi (which will eventually turn into a microbeveled edge, and I personally love those), whereas the Kansbol has that multi grind that goes from a scandi near the handle to a flat grind towards the tip, which looks great but doesn't function as well when carving wood. However if what you do mostly is hunting/skinning/cooking and ocassional feathersticks and light batoning (and I mean really light, branches of up to 3 or 4 cm in diameter) I would go for the kansbol; since you got a scandi part near the handle for feathering and the flatter grind near the tip for skinning, you don't need as beefy of a knife and the price is not justified, in my opinion. Hope it helped. Hope you never get to win another World Cup. Ever. ^^.

Momo 010814 i got the light my fire it's a nice knife but I wouldn't baton it, so you you want to throw it in a bug out bag and only use in extreme conditions go for the garberg or even a flock field knife don't know if you want to carry it or use in sthf . If you use it for hiking small tasks and carving then get something cheaper with a thinner blade I'm pretty happy with the light my fire you don't have to care about using it or the ferro rod because it's cheap and the ferro can be bought single for other hard tasks I use the boker para one which is currently my edc while I'm searching for a fullsized fixed or a nice folder it performs pretty good even without handle. When I was selling cutlery I could never keep a Benchmade 94X in my pocket for more than a day. Didn't matter how rare the model, how limited the edition, how expensive it was. Within 24 hours someone would ask me, "Well what do YOU carry?" And *poof* my 940 variant would disappear into the new customer's pocket. Once holding it, they had to have it. Purple, blue, red, green, black, serrated/plain, black/plain, the knife vanished and a customer left with a grin from ear to ear. BUY one. You'll love it.

I right there with you. Brothers in addiction bro. I tend to go for the 4" or 3.75" blades for edc. 4" is our CT legal limit for carry not ownership. If I'm going to get a small knife I usually go traditional like a stockman or something. I don't see the point of going smaller on a tactical blade. The sheeple factor isn't even a thought for me. As long as my knife is legal I couldn't care less what people think about it.
