Do you even have the original or ever used one? How you gon say it’s “way better than the original” without having held it, used it, etc? You just think it looks better.. Ergos on the original puuko is likely better with less likelihood of developing hot spots. I do, however, think the custom work is aesthetically better. It is quite “hot”.

It’s hard to find in the feeds. I saw it once and lost it in the history ... I want to see Jamie’s collection and I’d like to see some of the collections of makers. I’m always curious to see what anyone carries but seeing anyone from bhq or a what any maker carries would “make” my day (serious dad jokes subliminally inserted throughout, sorry, I’m a dad.) love to see Hans’ collection even!! Or what Austin has now! Bring him back for an episode, do all of the blade HQ employees, and then a few makers if possible would be great. And let’s get a Frankie and Bird collection that they have from you guys and why they dig it.

@@philipn5140 - I have no need to prove anything. I'm a knife lover and in the last couple years have gotten into collecting (only about 30 knives so far, 8 are pricey). I would not worry about dropping my knives on the floor...individually...without padding. I have dropped several knives accidentally on various hard surfaces, concrete, tile, linoleum, hardwood. Out of all the hard surfaces only the concrete scratched two of my knives and dented one. If I wanted to replicate the illusion BHQ did in this video, with the appearance of not caring and dropping all the knives, it would be on a padded surface. How do I *know* they did it this way? I don't...call it a hunch. No sound, couldn't see the knives hitting the ground, screen cut and edited before the tackle box was dropped. All this points to a high likeliness of knives dropped on padding and moved before the box was dropped (also likely on padding). Common sense ain't so common... 🤔

The havalon changed my life. My great uncle gave me my first large fixed blade hunting knife. I carried it hunting from age 13 to 31. Now I pack a havalon and do all my cleaning with it. I actually relieved that that fixed blade stays home now because I was always nervous that it would get broken or lost. I'm reminded of my favorite uncle and one hell of a man every time I see it🇺🇲

I have several Boker Kalashnakovs, Kwaikens (can't wait to get the protech burnley auto Kwaiken!) and 4 Buck 110s. Some of the 110s are hand me downs from my dad because he was the heat treatment manager for years back in the 70s & 80s for Buck. I have some pretty sweet customs he's made as well. You're not alone. Lol. You find a knife style you just love & you want every variant of it. I recommend Blade HQ to all my friends & family & have gotten you lots of business over the years. Fun video. I've been a crow at times. I almost bought a Benchmade dagger at a knife store in Puente, CA the other day, but fought the urge as it was $200. I have one double set. It's two Benchmade 940s. I bought the first one because I was so impressed with the Axis lock. Here in Kalifornski, autos are so regulated that this knife was "close enough." I didn't like the green scales, though, and the Tanto blade seemed more for fighting than EDC. So when I saw one on line with black scales and blade, a more practical (part-serrated) blade, I bought that, too. The OD one stays in my desk to stab-open letters. I'm liking the green a little better than before. I do plan to get a Bugout and a Pro-Tech mini-something auto for EDC. Someday.

I bought a ZT 0620 in elmax steel all black and I loved it and it was my daily driver and work horse. Later I bought a worksharp. I sharpened some old drop point blades I got as gifts and I decided I was skilled enough to try something new. I rounded the HELL out of the point of my favorite knife. I soon bought the big boy version in m390 and carbon fiber but it was too slippery for me so I exchanged the blades. This is my story. This is my shame. I lost the amalgamation I created to my dogs leash in the woods somewhere. Now all I have is the round boy.

About 10 years ago I bought 4 Dragonflys.. 3 in green frn/zdp-189 and 1 in olive G10/vg10.. and took them all apart to see which zdp blade fit best in the G10 handle. I got lucky, one of the 3 fit perfectly open and closed. So now I have a G10/zdp Dragonfly, a edc frn/zdp + a nib spare, and my brother got a freebie green frn/vg10 Dragonfly for his birthday and he loves it.

I like the collection; I'm a flipper folder guy. You are heavy on the Benchmade. I presume they stand behind their knives pretty well. Echo the guy who suggests a proper would working table for the presentation so that you can easily present the knives.

I have several doubles. Most recent Esee Laser Strike. Thought I lost one but found it. Had two BK7 did loose one with others when motor boat flipped. Have two Esee 3 , two BK2, Two ss bucks I use for skinning not sure model. A few different Moras as I have in different places. When u shop knives u find price u can not pass up sometimes. I have gave a few to friends

It's called splitz in south east Texas and I had a very similar knife, I think it was a Gerber. I also had a Buck 112 which was much more accurate, it was confiscated by Drill Sgt. Garrett in Ft. McClellan, Al 27Nov84 because it was considered contraband, who woulda thunk it, right?!!! I remember the day because I turned 21 that day but I have to give him a pass because if it weren't for his actions that day, I may have never heard about Spyderco which had just found it's way into the PX. What an awesome knife. It was simple and to be honest felt cheap, (which it was) but damn did it take an edge, and it kept it! The blade was made in Seki City, Ja, it was ATS-55. The knife grew legs at D.J's boudin in Beaumont, Tx and I hope the new owner eventually owns it if you know what I mean! Stay sharp my friends!

I’ve got a lot of duplicate Benchmade knives. I’ve got 4 original Nimravus....Nimravi , 2 Nim Cubs, 2 Bob Lum LFTI (one serrated and one plain edge), 4 Neil Blackwood Rukus (one is an automatic numbered original run, two from Shot Show with different micarta scales, and another assisted open), two 910’s and three 915’s (same designer as the Nimravus, Alan Elishewitz), 2 Bob Lum Dejavoo, and two Skirmish from Mr. Blackwood with different finishes (one blue titanium with the rainbow dots and stainless blade and the other gray titanium with a black blade.

The only times I've bought multiples is to replace ones that I used to have and miss owning...one was a Kershaw Cryo Tanto in black, and the other is a Smith & Wesson Extreme Ops drop point in black, both of which are pretty budget friendly and not really that great at holding an edge, but I just missed owning them and wanted them back in the collection and regular daily carry rotation...

Yep bought the carbonfiber52100 para3/black g10 efficient combo and a blue g10 s110v para3. Just so I could edc a blade (s110v) that want rust with carbon fiber handles.

So Ive bought three Kershaw sheild. The first one I carried a little but I didn't like the speed safe so. On Amazon there was one that didnt say anything about speed safe.. well it had speed safe. So I tried to take one apart... I hard time with that and eventually learned to heated it up because of the loctite. Tried it on the other knife.. melted a plastic washer. Eventually I did some stuff with the scale of one. And tried to regrind the other eventually I bought another one to have. The next one, I bought a limited knife. I carried it for two days. And wanted to save up for another one but it became sold out. So I'll never carry it again. So I should get the regular version.. but even those seem to be kinda limited, so...

Favorite fixed blades i own are kabar full size usmc fighting knife Ontario ranger rd6 thick boy 5160 spring steel then i sanded down to 100 grit then straight pulls at 400 to put in a nice satin finish then i did some file work on the spine were the handle scales are and i also sanded them to radius them then i sent it away to a custom leather worker to make an expense leather sheath for it then i recently stepped it up to a Bravo 3 with red linin micarta with white liners and mosaic pins also bought the expense bark river custom ferro rod for it with Marron linin micarta and i been thinking about having a custom kydex sheath with fire loop for it or a another custom sheath from that leather guy although the leather sheaths they come with are pretty nice but not as nice as my custom has tooling marks along the edges my initial pull the dot strap for taking off belt loop drop in sheath no snaps or anything just tension and a dangler with my initials on the front of the sheath so I be pretty nice and expensive that brave 3 was 380$ i believe bark river sells them in their shop this one was 480$ i got a good deal on it but to spend another 200 250 I bet on a leather sheath I dont know if I can do that it pretty awesome rite now the way it is

I have bought doubles a time or 2 lol usually only exclusives if they have a satin and coated blade I will order one of each version. I have other knives though that I have more then one of but they aren't exactly the same they will be different sprints and exclusives so they might be the same knife but with different steels and scale colors or materials.
