Don't worry about the length of the video, it's interesting stuff and you're making a nice job of it. Cheers!

Cheers Ted, I'm always conscious of long videos and I'm trying to keep them shorter these days. Thanks for watching

Sean, a couple of door skins and a wee bit of welding and the shell will be done! The worst bit will be all the filling and rubbing down the shell but your on the home straight. Cheers Dave

😎👍 Just goes to show. Buying the best panels available is worth the money. I could have used a section of that old wheel arch. Instead I had to form my own with hammer and dolly. It worked and I needed the practice.😁 Cheers from 🇺🇸✌️

You're spot on there Frank. It's always best practice to purchase the best quality panels that you can afford. I've used a mix of heritage/ Magnum and M Machine panels. I have to say that M Machine panels are spot on. The door skins will probably be Magnum as I simply can't justify £110 per skin plus delivery when I can get a pair of Magnum skins delivered for that price. Had you been closer you would have been welcome to the arches buddy

@@BMCWorkshop Thanks. I ended up making my own parts simply because I for one, didn't know I could buy them and for two, it takes weeks to receive anything now. I did find the replacement inner wheel arch for $99.00+ shipping/tax. I only needed a 8" x 5" piece. Couldn't really justify the cost. 👍

I always think that you get great satisfaction when you fabricate your own repair panels. I really feel fir you guys restoring British cars in the states as the cost in getting the parts is astronomical but kudos to you for doing it

Your getting there Sean, thought you might have used magnum quarters but must say you've done well buddy 👍👍

@@gimmefuelgarage8339 it's not too bad a job to be honest. I wouldn't do it with the car on the rotisserie as the shell tends to bend and twist. Learned that early on in the project lol

Curious why you remove the 1/4 before fitting the arch. Surely you use the 1/4 to make sure its in the right place? 🤷♂️

Cheers Mark, you're correct bud. With the O/S I used the original quarter panel to line it all up. With this side (N/S) I used the jig pick up points as well as the new quarter panel
