It was nice to hear you talking about “See How They Run”. I just happened to see it was in theaters and thought it was fun. However, no one seemed to know about it or reviewed it.

So happy to hear that the Kid Cudi project is great! Cant wait to check it out alongside with the album he released. Honestly, hearing that the animation is reminiscent of the Spider-Verse movie is crazy

I always enjoy these videos, but normally I just watch them to hear your thoughts on movie I've already decided to see, or decided not to see. But this month I actually added several films to my watchlist based on your comments (might have removed 1 or 2 as well, lol). Thanks!

Athena's cinematography tho. Also that very first 11-minute longtake felt like something straight out of Children of Men or Mad Max Fury Road. Shame the climactic moment of the film was that first 11-minute longtake. The first two acts of the film were great IMO, but the third act slowed it down to a screeching halt to the point it felt like a completely different film, was not a fan of that 3rd act at all.

So in September I saw Dear Evan Hansen and Beetlejuice: The Musical on Broadway and both were great. In terms of new releases: 1) Heathers: The Musical (the prophet on the Roku Channel) (If you count this as a movie, it's my favourite of the year) 2) Marcel the Shell with Shoes on (If Heathers doesn't count, this is my favourite movie of the year) 3) Bodies, Bodies, Bodies 4) My Best Friend's Exorcism 5) See How They Run 6) Do Revenge 7) Three Thousand Years of Longing 8) Don't Worry Darling (I actually liked this film)

Don’t worry darling & Bros were the only movies that released this month that i watched and i loved both of them. I did catch up on X, so I’m really looking forward to watching Pearl. Also, The greatest beer run seems pretty great even if it’s only for the Efron performance lol

Concerning the Oscars having a distaste for horror. Alfred Hitchcock never won an Oscar. Only 6 horror movies were ever nominated for Best Picture. The only one that won was "Silence of the Lambs."

Austin, could you drop stars on Letterboxd for the movies that you didn't get to review on the channel? For example with See How They Run, you didn't get to review it but it would be nice to see your star rating for it on Letterboxd. Thanks as always for the coverage. Much appreciated.
