Thanks Karl for your informative videos. Unlike others your straight to the point and no BS. I completed my Masters in Mechanical engineering, ANZSCO 233512 this month and one amongst those impacted by the 485 age cap as I turned 36 in April. Good to see NT has kept a provision to help their students. Hope NSW does the same. I have lodged an EOI for WA SC 491. I have got 95 points inclusive of the extra 15 points for state nomination. Do you think I have a chance in the upcoming WA invitation round tentatively scheduled for this week? Nonetheless, enjoy your vacation in the GC!

Thanks for the update Karl. Would that mean that NT graduates, still need the skill assessment and all the other basic 190 requirements as required ?
@binadesai24395 ай бұрын
Thats the my question. Master in another and bachelour in another degree and if we put bachelour or another degree skill assessment we have to choose that occupation and then we show efforts of the employment to get in degree that we recently graduated with. Its confusing as well and whatif previous skill is not in skill select then no use of this opportunity given to international student. Its of no use at all if we still need skill assessment.

@estellebright25795 ай бұрын
No idea. Could be fewer people are processing them now. Could be DOHA just don’t want to process them as quickly to, somehow, improve the NOM number. We really don’t know. DOHA visa processing management is a black box.

There is no way to tell how long your visa will be granted. I saw someone got invited 190 visa a few days ahead of me, submitted the application a few days ahead of me, from the same country, got granted 5 months later than me. I also saw applications lodged in 2022 still not being granted. DOHA can process the visa however they please and none of us can do anything about it.

@estellebright25795 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s crazy waiting but that’s how it goes: older applications are being forgotten, while DOHA processes new ones first, so the 50% figure looks good, or maybe even the 90% figure.
@MacarenaScussel5 ай бұрын
That’s crazy. I firmly believe that bridging visa if onshore should count towards the requirement for citizenship/or the 3 years requirement for 191. Otherwise the process os crazy unfairly long.
