Unfortunately Explorer is still missing two key features. 1. The ability to take RAW still images in any of the pre-planned Missions i.e. Waypoint, Rectangle and Polygon Missions. 2. The ability to record video in Rectangle and Polygon Missions. For the Evo 2 to be considered as a serious tool for commercial surveys, both these features need to be added as soon as possible.

Hi John-- You're absolutely correct. I didn't see this comment of yours until today. I was out flying and trying to set my waypoint images in RAW and it could not be done. At all. Having a lengthy back and forth email conversation with Autel as we speak. What's interesting is that the Evo I is able to capture waypoint images in RAW. So very curious as to why that necessity is not available on the Evo II Pro.

@@LindaQPhotography Apparently the Evo 1 could also record video in the Rectangle & Polygon Missions and that was left out on the Evo 2. It is such a great shame that the Evo 2 is such a good airframe and the Pro camera is excellent that it is let down badly by the lack of key features such as Raw in Missions and Video in Rectangle & Polygon Missions. I was considering purchasing an Evo 2 Dual but I will wait to see how the DJI Mavic Enterprise Advanced performs.

It is great to see that Autel is adding features to the Autel Evo 2 Pro. Keep it up! Also, I think you should consider a "spotlight" or "camerman" mode similar to the one the Mavic Air 2 or Parrot Anafi has - you've already started down that path with the smart orbit, just add another feature that lets you focus on a POI that you identify through drawing a box around it while the user fly's the drone and the camera focuses on the POI. In addition, please enhance the Waypoint function in the Missions for the Evo 2. You need to have smooth transitions between waypoints (no stopping), and rounded curves when transitioning from one waypoint heading to another. Cinematic is key. Finally, do not forget about the Evo 1. Many people, including myself, bought the Evo 1 and generally liked it (camera is great!), but give us some growth for that drone and make our investment pay off!. I own both the Evo 1 and Evo 2 and would like to see continued enhancements for both drones.

Autel Robotics, your update was already tested in professional TVC shoot on the 11.11.2020 on EVO 2 Pro. Positive feedback : Everything went perfect ! Smooth,cinematic footage!(thanks to NDPL filters for good part of it) Great experience and happy client,amazing images. Extremely stable to a point that we were shocked, we flew with prop guards outside and even it was buttery smooth at 25km/h wind. Some feedback on improvements needed(seriously): # camera menu not practical,too many dials separately, very fidldly, time consuming,either general camera menu for all settings in one place is preferred or option to customise camera presets and flight setting presets, i found wasting lots of time going thru the menu, burning battery for something so simple to address,even would be nice like pro camera to actually state what frame/resolution/shutter/exposure/iso is filming without having to dial across the screen left to right endlessly. # smooth zoom would be nice,really helpful # larger controller with hdr screen and brightness is must if you want to use this drone and call it professional which it deserves so. # controller is not ergonomically great, (think Mavic Mini 2 at least), i found myself pressing too many buttons unintentionally. I think you tried to impress with compact size,but this drone is aimed at prosumers and even professionals,we do not want toys. Overoll, extremely happy,what it is a great drone you made, it could be a killer cinematic marvel,i feel that you need to have great cinematographers in your beta testing team,it needs to be tested for the field it is aimed (Evo2 Pro). Involve some of them and let produce some videos that this bird is truly capable.I ve seen that few days ago and i was shocked that that footage can not be found anywhere online,one maybe even that was bit jerky. forgot to metion,mirco SD cards ! Please , let us know which cards are compatible and what series to what resolution. I loved to take this drone to pro shoot,had to purchase numerous cards to test and do my own research and shoot hours of footage to get confidence that it will work. I had card v90 that failed me,seriously and v60 that worked for 6k/30,then some v30 were great for 4K/30, this is the home work that Autel should be working on. We need to know which card will work on pro shoot to call it a pro drone. I have file currently of the v90 card that 80% of the frames are green and banding ,imagine if i did this professionally?

New Evo 2 Pro owner here, as of 2 weeks ago. Looking forward to you adding the Facebook Live function because you don't need to have a minimum 1,000 subscribers in order to use it, unlike KZbin. I'm coming from the DJI Mavic 2 Pro world and still have the M2P and MP in my fleet, so I'm used to being able to go live on Facebook. I'd also like a smooth zoom rather than that jerky zoom that I have to edit in post production with a transition to eliminate. I understand this is a relatively new bird and there are going to be growing pains.

Hello owners of the Evo1. Still a great drone, but trying to do a IMU calibration on the Evo1 and although it does have it in the settings. the Pic shows up as the Evo2 and won't start calibration. Unless I'm looking in all the wrong places, it seems that so little has been done to improved this $1000 drone. It needs some decent new features added. @Autel Robotics ... brand new Evo 2 Pro owner here! Can we get panorama modes, please?! I don't even care if the app automatically stitches the photos together. Just automatically going through the yaw points and gimbal tilts would be a HUGE plus for my workflow. The lack of pano shooting options was the only real hang-up I had choosing between Autel and DJI. 360/sphere, 180, and a wide 9-shot format would be fantastic. Others are asking for it, too. Thanks.

Does the app view while flying show the directional orientation of the drone? I was flying my drone in a forest type situation the other day and I could see the drone but I couldn't tell which direction it was aimed. If I moved in just the wrong direction I would hit a tree.

Autel doesn’t appear to be directly selling it from their store and I haven’t seen them market anything but the Evo 2 since it came out. Why would you buy a product that is 2+ years old, has a newer replacement version and still expect the manufacturer to be updating features on the old version. That makes no sense. DJI doesn’t do that either.

When I bought my GMC, I didn’t expect them to give me new features 2 years later. I didnt buy my Weber grill expecting them to give me the features of their newest grill in 2 years. When I bought my Canon DSLR, I didn’t expect them to give me new features 2 years later of the R5. When I bought my Autel Evo, I didn’t expect them to give me new features 2 years later. I buy (or don’t buy) a product for what it is today and how well it does what I want/need it to do, not what I hope you might be tomorrow. And I especially don’t buy an old product that already has a newer replacement version and expect it to be upgraded. It’s already had 2 years of updates to it at that point and would expect it to be in its steady state. But that’s just me, I don’t expect the world to cater to my every whim and expect that I’m owed anything in the future. To me, that is more of an old timer mindset than the one you’ve got where everybody owes you something. 🍻

@@legaleagleandpaws8198 From a business perspective, keep in mind that Autel is still a small company (tiny in relation to DJI). It likely takes every bit of their resources (money & human) to focus on their newest technology. Any time they spend on old tech comes at a trade off of not pushing their latest tech forward in order to try to compete with DJI’s latest offerings. I learned a long time ago about a concept called opportunity cost. It’s good to look at both sides of the coin, not just the one facing you.

My Evo1 works perfectly fine. I wouldn't buy an upgrade either. Autel2 or Mini2. The only reason I would buy the Mini2 is if I traveled via air often. I always joked that with my Harbor Freight case for the Evo1. I would expect to be stopped quite a bit at the airport. It looks so suspicious. LOL

@@shsechas I flew to MN and back with my Evo 1 last summer. I put the drone, batteries, controller in the bag the drone came with and then I put that in a carry on back pack. The rest was clothes. No issues going to MN, but my bag got flagged for inspection on the way back. The inspector took everything out and opened the drone bag. She didn't know was she was looking at, I just said it was my camera and I was good to go.

Just got the Evo II Pro a couple days ago. Can’t wait to get out this weekend and test it out. My first drone was a Typhoon H, my second a P4P, which I use for my business. Would love a file rename, renumber feature. Otherwise it resets to 001 everytime and that could cause file deletes/overwrites when dumping SD card. Also a 23.98 or 23.976 frame rate option

That's a KZbin requirement, not Autel's requirement, unfortunately. I'm sitting at 700 subscribers, about double from a year ago, so I'm slowly getting up there. That's one of my 2021 goals is to produce enough interesting videos that I can exceed that 1,000 subscriber minimum.

The only problem that I am having is the gimbal is not ready error appears during every startup. Using Samsung note 20, Samsung Tab A, iPad 4 mini, changed data cables reinstalled the EVO 2 Pro firmware and the issue still persists. I have to wait about 10 seconds before each take off for the message to disappear..

My evo 2 p5o horizon was already off since day one . I sent it to autel ,they said nothing was wrong, with it. Now since the update it's off worse than it was before. For almost 2000, I expect my horizon to. be near perfect. I dont expect perfection, but I do expect better. I shouldn't have to adjust the horizon manually every time. I dont on my other drones and shouldn't have on the most expensive one yet. Autel I need a fix for this asap. I did every calibration many times and it still comes out the. same and I even downloaded the firmware from your autel site.

What does moving a few miles have to do with an IMU calibration? And why is the Hperlapse so lame, no yawing available, forward or backward view only. Give us a course lock function where yawing is possible, even drones from several years back can do this. Autel in my opinion beats out dji hands down. But why is it, that only certain features with iOS? That reminds me of dji. Is it that android won't support it? Or is it just that you guy's favor the iOS. Dji blatantly favors iOS. I just hope that's not the case here, because it didn't use to be.
