I own both v1 Autel dual and v2 enterprise and really feel that Autel lite + will connect to SC. As for size of SC I think it’s a home run! I had DJI SC for years and was a great product but definitely lacked in size as I’m commercial pilot and enjoy larger screens especially when customers are observing my work. Maybe Autel will make cheaper version for cheaper weekend flyers.

I hope your right, but I think your wrong about SC compatibility with these newer drones. They have a new transmitter on them and I’m all but certain they won’t be compatible. Look at V1 / V2 SC issues? Not too many V2 SC even out at this moment in time. I hope they can learn from DJI and provide the SC early and make Nano line, lite line and Evo 3 lineup all compatible with new SC.

@@Averagedude73 no. New transmission with 2.7K resolution. It’s why I believe SC won’t work with new drones; Autel would have to produce another smart controller and I don’t think they will.

I added a smart tv in my vehicle that my DJI smart controller casts to using blue tooth (no HDMI cable needed). This lets interested people watch my screen as I am flying. Next hill to climb will be getting my evo to cast to the same tv. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5_TfZ2Kh9uAfLM

Good point on the controller. Seeing the XDynamics Evolve II on your shelf. Have they made updates to the software such that you use it much? I really like the looks of their controller.

Good catch, but that is Evolve 1 on my shelf. I am eagerly awaiting the Evolve 2. Due to NDA I can’t really get into Evolve 2 conversation specifics, but I can tell you that Evolve 2 is leaps and bounds over Evolve 1. Really good catch and I absolutely love they remote too. Tripod mount, removable battery with the high nits screen. Logo even lights up, they really outdid themselves on the controller. They really understand the value of that interaction between pilot and controller.

I understand the Lite+ will be compatible with the Smart Controller V2 because it is the same chip that is in the Lite+. It will be a firmware update.

Not sure if I follow your logic - if you buy a newer drone to enjoy improved and new features then you likely want to sell the older one while it's still worth something. Selling a drone with an RC will be much more successful than trying to sell it without.

Yeah; it really is confusing with the V1, V2, and what is compatible with what. I would have thought the V2 SC would be compatible with all V2 E2's, Nano's, and Lite's. I guess not. I think the smarter choice if these Autel SC's are only good with one drone is the Tripltek 8 Pro. Works with all drones and is future proof for many years. So is the 7 Pro for that matter. Very durable with long lasting battery. The only downside is the weight but for those of us weighing more than 98 lbs that shouldn't be an issue with a neck strap and mount like the Lifthor and at least one other brand I don't remember the name of.

I agree with you. However if they do what DJI is doing, they can drop a second smart controller that is compatible with Nano, Lite AND Evo III and make it more worthwhile for the consumer. Sucks knowing I spent $1200 for a SC that will only be good on the single drone.

I have v1 and v2 SC and if it only works with one drone it’s still better then factory controller and wires hanging off a tablet been there done that. Just received enterprise v2 Friday and definitely a big difference running dual frequencies I wouldn’t change a thing.

@@Averagedude73 totally agree. Set up times are faster and brighter screen than dimly lit iPhone; I had huge overheating issues and composition was harder versus off of smart controller. Hate the wires and dealing with calls airplane mode etc. I’d much rather have smart controller stand alone than dealing with a phone or too heavy tablet.

Good video CP! Autel should make the new SC compatible from the V2 all the way up to the new ones the release including the EVO 3 and future drones. Don't need an SC for each drone. This is why some people stick with tablets as the screen. But I do prefer the larger size. It does separate the hobbyist from the pro in that aspect.

By the way, I grant that DJI smart controller/ transmission hardware works with a lot more end devices. But its an obviousl kludge. DJI Fly is not integrated in an elegant way, MANY complaints about O3 devices (Air 2S) It's hardly an easy end user experience. I love it for the 3 DJI Drones I have (Mini 2, Air 2, Mavic 2 Pro) but it's way underpowered, and range is meh at best. Convenience gets high marks as well as build quality. We will see how the Dual Band V2 works for me. I wouldn't ever do a LifThor/Tablet setup It's unbalanced and subject to all the quirks of the standard controller. In fact, I would never have bought a V2 E2P if I had to use that controller. It's been a mixed bag waiting 2 months for the SC. Still not perfect, but I bought E2P BECAUSE of the SC, not the other way around. I don't give a #&@! if it works with a Nano or Evo Lite. It would be great, but problem? Not for me. I just purchased a 6kpro enterprise and I was told that it will be compatible with the new Nano,s And compared too the new Mav3 and the new SC I'd much rather have Autels (as you put it) monstrosity anything over DJI,s overrated, massively overpriced offering.... And of course..no geo fencing on my new enterprise, so I can enjoy my new very expensive purchase and not be told where I can actually fly👍

My V2 SC arrives TOMORROW BY NOON. Pre-ordered in EARLY AUGUST. Biggest issue in my opinion is that feature lag on Android vs IOS. No: Time Shift, No HD photo Sync... No Indoor mode... and a half dozen others. Each time IOS gets MORE New features they state: Android to get this later. Later never comes, going back over a year now. Not one has been ported to Android. So... The hot Smart Controller? Runs on Android. This is not good application software development resources, making their own high end controller hobbled from the start. Tell you what, if the same code development teams write for their Automotive division, I won't be getting any Autel proprietary scanners anytime soon.

I can not see a dilemma. The Autel Smartcontroller is way better then DJI Smartcontroller. DJI smartcontroller is just to small Screen and not bright enough and run time bad and It is slow. I have to use extern monitor on 2200 nits to use in bright and sunny weather. I think the price on Autel is just ok its just much better.

Did you watch the video? Dilemma is compatibility. Smart controller for Autel came at the end of a transmission line. Nano, Lite and Evo 3 will be using a new and different transmission system, so that amazing smart controller is only good for Evo 2. Plus you got V1 and V2 variants too. What I said in the video is Autel moving forward needs to make their next SC compatible to more of a product line similar to the way DJI has. That and because it came so late and sold so few, Autel may not even make another smart controller for quite some time; which is another uncomfortable truth. I was just pushing the argument for a better system and a new one for all their new drones that are coming.

What specifically am I wrong about? Nano and Evo 3 will have 2.7K resolution new transmission system and maybe lite too. This means that current smart controller will likely be incompatible with these future models. Smart controller came late AND won’t be compatible. DJI smart controller has been compatible with a number of their drones and their future 2.0 controller will continue on to be compatible compatible with their immediate future lineup. I was calling on Autel to start thinking in this way; making their smart controller available quickly for these new drones so that people can use it with future drones. Also Tripltek allows 3rd party apps; why has Autel and DJI android so closed that 3rd party apps have not worked? These are the things that would benefit us all when talking about future smart controllers. But as always, it’s just an opinion and not a matter of fact. So totally cool to disagree; like I’m not one of those other youtubers that will argue or challenge someone else’s opinion. This is an amazing hobby for some, but an amazing career for me and I’m just happy to make content for you guys and enjoy this amazing thing.
