what is the difference between 뚝배기 and 돌솥?

The biggest difference is the material. The main material of the 뚝배기(ttukbaegi) is mud, and 돌솥(dolsot) is made with stone. 돌(dol) is a Korean word that means stone. You can see the difference between 뚝배기 and 돌솥 very easily. As I said 돌솥 is made with stone, so you can see the texture of the stone and It's mostly gray. 뚝배기 is mostly black and smooth and shiny. But both are excellent for keeping heat🙂
